Let's go back 38 years to August 1978.

This is one of the books that started my long term interest in Earth 2.  I've always loved the Justice Society Of America.  The fact they were around in WWII; the fact there were some identical to the Earth 1 heroes I knew, some similar, and some totally foreign.  The fact that the heroes, unlike the usual heroes, had aged: getting grey, having children, etc.  And the sense of legacy and all that.  And I always enjoyed this cover, showing the heroes, the villains and drawn by the amazing Joe Staton, and unfortunately, inked by the less stellar Joe Giella.
