Badass Birthday
On this date, one hundred and ninety years ago, in Thorne, United Kingdom, Thomas Crapper was born.
Contrary to popular thought, Thomas Crapper did NOT invent the toilet. However, he was the owner of a plumbing business, and did make many improvements to the "water closet". He holds 9 patents by the way. But what he did was take what existed at that time and made it better, more into what we all know today. He passed in 1910 at the age of 74.
But improved indoor plumbing so that we all now can poop in peace inside and with lil hassle, well, that's certainly badass!
