Badass Birthday
On this date, one hundred years ago in 1926, in St. Louis Missouri, Chuck Berry was born.
Chuck Berry was a pioneering musician who broke ground by transforming rhythm and blues into the nescient sounds of Rock N Roll. Some of his best known songs are:
Maybelline
Roll Over Beethoven
School Days
Rock And Roll Music
Sweet Little Sixteen
Johnny B. Goode
Nadine
No Particular Place To Go
You Never Can Tell
My Ding-A-Ling
Shake, Rattle and Roll
All of this earned him a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award, and he was one of the Inaugural Inductees into the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame.
He passed away in 2017 at the age of 90 years old.
Just listen to any of these songs, hear that guitar he played, and you'll know he's a badass!
