Badass Birthday
On this date, 67 years ago in 1959, in Detroit, Earvin "Magic" Johnson was born.
Magic Johnson is the greatest point guard in basketball history, and one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He played his entire 14 year NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers.

3x NBA Most Valuable Player
12x All Star
2x All Star Game MVP
He also has an Olympic Gold Medal from 1992.
And so while these are all impressive and enough to make him a badass, in addtion to ALL this, he's a vocal advodate for HIV/AIDS patients, since he was diagnosed and announced his infection in the early 90s. That did a lot to help diminish the stigma of HIV/AIDS, when the public saw a straight, athletic, famous MANLY ALPHA man announced his infection.
Also he has an openly gay son and is vocal in his support for him, showing how straight people can deal with gay children.
All of these together, clearly show what a badass he is!
