I'm just a sappy mess this whole week.
I keep thinking of the two guys who were going to get married and instead they had a joint funeral. And I tear up.
I keep thinking of the mother of 12 who threw herself over her 21 year old son and was killed. But she saved her son's life. And I tear up.
I was watching Zootopia, of all things. There's a scene wherein a baby fox is in an elephant costume and he gets sad and toots his little fake trunk dejectedly. And I tear up.
There's a later scene where one of the character's has a flashback to where as a kid, he wanted to join a scout troop. But he was a predator and all the others were prey, so they ended up slapping a muzzle on him and he ran away. And I tear up.
I sit here and watch some Voice auditions on YouTube. And I tear up. The family members are crying. And I tear up. The contestants don't get any judges to turn around. And I tear up. The contestants get all four judges to turn around. And I tear up.
I watch people singing Sam Smith's "I'm Not The Only One". And I tear up.
Seriously. My emotions are not just on my sleeve, their leaking down my hand and dripping into a puddle on the floor. Shit is crazy.

Sunday, I was numb.
Monday, it all started to hit me. I couldn't wrap my head around it all. I came close to tears several times. It was all I could think of, when I wasn't concentrating on something else. I had two cards to mail, and I thought a walk would do me good, so I walked over to the Post Office, but on the way home, despite walking and listening to music through my earbuds, I almost started to cry again.
I needed some unconditional love, support and joy. And where could I get it? Well the ParisPeking household has two dogs and three kids under 12 years old. That sounded just like what the doctor ordered.
So I contacted Mrs. ParisPeking, she said they were going to be home, so over I went. One dog sat on my lap and I could pet her. The other dog, the younger, goofy one, wanted to play a lot (until she got tired and laid down and slept). The girls were chatty like they always are, but it was okay. I like chatting with them and hearing their stories. And they have some video game where a song plays and characters on the screen dance and the girls, holding controllers, have to copy the dance moves as a game. I even got into it once, when it was a late 70's disco song (which I now forget).
I was there about an hour. It was indeed just what I needed. As I left, I got a hug and kiss from the old dog, and the young dog, and I got a group hug from the three girls (and somehow, the young dog insinuated herself into it as well, but that was okay too).
I came home, feeling better. I wrote the post below and put it up here. I danced for a short time, nearly crying as well.
Tuesday, while I work I STILL had a hard time concentrating on work. I almost broke down and cried a few times again. I dont know when I'll get over this. Ya know, its funny, nothing has changed in my life. Everything about my life is exactly the same as it was last Tuesday night. I dont know anyone killed or injured at Pulse. I wasnt hurt or injured myself. So I say nothing has changed.
But everything has changed. Everything....

Sunday, when I needed a break from all the Orlando stuff, I went out to mom's cause she was making us supper (broiled haddock, YUM!). Afterwards, we chatted, I told her all about Pride, and we decided to walk.
We walked 1.04 miles in 24 minutes all out around the village where she lives.
Monday, late morning, I decided to walk two cards over the Post Office, not only to mail them, but also to get my mind off of all the Orlando stuff. It didn't really work, but it was still nice to get some exercise.
Seen on today's walk: Someone had, I guess been evicted. There were bags of trash and stuff, boxes of stuff, a tv and also, a red Clifford the Dog stuffed doll.
I felt sorry for Clifford, just thrown there, discarded like trash, when obviously at some point, some little kid had loved it. The sadness kinda echoed what I had been feeling since the Orlando stuff, so I took the pic.
