Ordered the new computer today.  It'll have Windows 10....never used that before, although I understand it's user friendly.  Delivery date is sometime next week.  So far, the current computer is working okay....don't know how long it'll keep doing that.

Today, as soon as I got home from work, I took a walk (see below).  Upon getting home, I went to Wal-Mart and got mom a Sudoku book, and one of those adult coloring books, as well as a pack of colored pencils and a pencil sharpener.

She had thrown out a comment about I could get her one of those coloring books for Mother's Day if I wanted to.  So that's what I did.

I'll put those, along with the cards I got her and the cheese cutting board, on her table tomorrow when I go out to put her trash out.  They'll be there waiting for her when she returns from her bus trip on Thursday.

And yes, she'll be getting her Mother's Day gifts four days after Mother's Day.  Mother's Day, like Father's Day and Valentine's Day, is a forced holiday.  Something put together by the card companies and candy companies and flower companies to MAKE you buy their products so you can 'show your love'.

Fuck that.

I always DO stuff for Mother's Day, but never ON Mother's Day.  I've surprised her at work the Friday before and took her out to eat.  I've give her gifts and a meal the Monday after.  Never on the day.  Nope.  So she'll get it all Thursdays.

Anyways, after get her that stuff, I went to the grocery store and picked up a few things, including a steak I cooked on the George Foreman, although with a bag of veggies I nuked.  Yummy...and not too many carbs, which is important, cause my blood sugar's been out of whack.

When I was in Toronto that month, I took my pills and insulin along, but while I was there, I ate whatever I want, whenever I wanted (a bagel and creamcheese at 9:45 pm?  Sure, why not????).  And since I've gotten back, I've still be eating all the wrong stuff at all the wrong times.

I HAVE to get my eating and blood sugar back under control.  So today, was, for lunch, a salad, a walk after work, and the above food for supper.  (Course there were a few too many chocolates in the afternoon, but still.....)

Oh, and yesterday, I had a gentleman caller.  It was second time here (even though the first time was April of last year), but this time...well it was more fun.  And there was talk of doing something soon besides being in bed.  Like a meal out or something.  That should be fun.  We'll see if that happens.
