I would not sell my collection, if I did, I would cry (Part 13)...

Today In The History Of Polt's Comic Book Collection

Today we jump back 33 years to January of 1984, and that month's issue of The All-Star Squadron!

The All-Star Squadron was a great comic written by the also great Roy Thomas and drawn by Jerry Ordway (through most of it's run).  It was about all the heroes in the DC Universe during World WarII and how President Roosevelt drafted them all into one force after Pearl Harbor (something like close to 50 heroes!).  They only really concentrated though, on about 7 specific heroes.

One of them was the Shining Knight, shown in front on his winged horse.  He also, though, was back during the WWII years, a member of the Seven Soldiers Of Victory.  And this issue explains how they first came together as a team.

It was a nice way to explain some things left unexplained for 40 years.  And, as most of The All-Star Squadron was, a great read!
