Walks 2026
Today I walked 1.38 miles in 28 minutes.
Seen on today's walk: This oddly diagonal sidewalk.
This is an oddly shaped diagonal sidewalk. It looks possibly decorative, eh? But it's not. I remember, in my youth and early teens, there were railroad tracks through town. There was, in photos I've seen, even a tiny train station in the west end of town. The station became a hair salon, a sub shop and then a salon again, in my memory. And then tracks were removed. When they were, the town added this sidewalk over where they went. And since the tracks ran diaginally in relation to the old sidewalk, so does the new sidewalk.
