Wednesday, I had no problem getting up and to work.  And I had a lot of catching up to do since I wasn't there Saturday or Tuesday, and I spent the day doing that: getting caught up on paperwork and paperwork and more paperwork.

On the way home, I stopped by Freddie and used a coupon to get $2 off a large sub. And a small bag of chips.  I came home and ate it.  And I was so stuffed I almost felt ill.  And I was convinced it was going to fuck up my blood sugar royally (although the next morning, my blood sugar was only 92!).  After this, I just spent the night watching more Doctor Who and putzing on the computer.

And then I went to bed and to sleep.

Chapter 9, Page 8...

OHHHHH the frustration.

I decided on Tuesday to take my Labor Day holiday and get to the dentist's office as soon as they opened, get the stronger anti-biotic prescription, get it filled and get the pills into me and hitting the infection before 1030 am.  Good plan.

But as they say, no plan, no matter how good, survives contact with the enemy.

About 815, I was on my phone to check the hours of the dentist's office and found they were....1-7 PM.  *SIGH*  So at 130, I go over, show them both the bottles (the one I just finished plus the one they called in for me Sunday...and that they are exactly the same medicine).  She says she'll call a new one for some C-named antibiotic, but it may take a little time.

I let 4 hours pass, then I called CVS to see if they had the script ready.  They never received one.

I called the dentist's office.  She said they were very busy, and she had forgotten to call it in.  But she was calling it in as soon as we hung up.

I gave it an hour and then about 640, called CVS again.  Nope, no script.

I went to the dentist's office, they were closed.  But I knew they parked around the side of the building.  So I took a chance, and there was the assistant, talking to a lady in a car.  She swore to me she had called it in, but right then, while I'm standing there watching, she called the script in.  When she was done, she said, "Well there it is.  You can go over and wait for it, if you like."  And I thanked her and returned home.

So now it's like 730ish, and I head over to CVS.  I ask the girl if they've gotten my script.  She checks the computer and says no, they have not.  I told her I just not 15 minutes ago, stood with her a parking lot and listened to her call the script in.  The girl said, "Well it could be on our voicemail."  And I just looked at her like, "Okay....." and she says, "We check it about every 30 minutes."  And I'm still looking at her like "okay....."  And finally she says, "Well give a little time to get to it."  And frankly, right them, i'm SO freakin pissed I just walked out of the store.  Better than than throttle the poor girl right across the counter.

I went to the car, fumed there a bit, and then drove out to mom's cottage.  THere I ranted and raved and got it all off my chest.  And she suggested we take a walk around the commons (its behind her house, there's a walkway that surrounds it with benches and a fountain and everything).  So we took a walk, roughly a half mile, and we walked it 11 minutes.

A little before 830, I returned home, took my regular diabetic pills, took my insulin shot, and picked up my book.  Then I drove to CVS.  And I was going to wait there until they filled the script for me.  And if they store closed at 9, and I didn't have the script, then I'd sit there until they gave me the script or they physically removed me.

I got out there and checked with the girl.  She said they didn't have any.  I stared at her dumbfounded.  And they the pharmacist, from in back, said, "There's two profiles, check the other one."  I'm thinking, "What?  What's two profiles?"  But the girl does something and she says, "Ah, there it is."

What the fuck?

I ask how did I get two profiles?  She says one has my middle initial, one does not.  That's it?  REALLY?  whatever, like I care at this point, just give me the anti-biotic so I can get started on it.

And so, even though I took the entire day off work to get the meds in me by 1030 am, they finally made it in only about 915pm.  SIGH.

Better late than never, though I guess.

After all this, I just went upstairs, took a shower, went to bed, and read some.

Chapter 9, Page 7...

And the Abscessed Tooth Drama continues on.  But first...

I slept in until mid morning and then went out to mom's for lunch.  She had steak, burgers, dogs on the grills and even had made some corn on the cob.  I hadn't had ANY corn on the cob yet this year (and years ago, we had it in a abundance when dad grew it in the garden), so I ended up chowing down on three ears of that.  As well as a steak, a burger and a dog (no buns, too many carbs).  Afterwards, we sat and talked a bit.

I came home, hung out here, reading, taking a nap, watching some TV.  Back about 130 I called the dentist emergency line and left a message.  I am out of anit-biotics, and the infection is back.  I called and asked for them to call in a stronger anti-biotic for me, and to call it into CVS before 6PM, because that's when their pharmacy closed.

About 430, i called the number again.  His assistant answered and I explained the situation.  She said she'd call in a prescription in for me.  A half hour later i got a call from CVS, saying my prescription was ready.  I drove out, picked it up, came home and took one.  After I ate supper, I thought to check the bottle for what it was and.....it turns out it's the exact same medicine I had just finished taking.  The anti-biotic that hadnt cleared anything up.  And of course, now that I had taken one, I couldn't return them...even if they'd take it back. Which I'm not sure they would.

So at any rate, with little else I could do about it then, I spent some time online, and then watched the first episode of Season 2 of the New Doctor Who.  After it ended, I went to bed, read some and then to sleep.

All in all, not a bad Labor Day...albeit a frustrating one.

Deny my feeling, my knowing, my being, deny me all....

The infection that the dentist squeezed out Thursday, well as I mentioned, it's come back. I felt the pus filled bubble again below my tooth Saturday afternoon.  There's not really any pain with it, which I'm very glad of.  This may be because of the hole he drilled and left open in the top of the crown.  Occasionally, when I run my tongue over the hole (to make sure it's still open and not covered with food or anything) I get this weird taste.  Perhaps, that's some of the pus coming out through the hole.  And while that is inDEED completely disgusting, it may be keeping the pressure from building up under the tooth and thus, no pain.

Or maybe not.  Everything I wrote above may just totally be bunk.  It's not like I know anything about teeth or dental issues anyway.

I'm just glad the horrible pain I had before isn't happening any longer.

Although, you know what I think that WORST thing about the whole tooth issue is?  Since last Thursday, when I had it drilled, I've had to turn down FOUR offers of bedtimesexxy fun!  Two guys messaged me on Friday (including sweet Neil, who I REALLY want to get with again!) and then Derick yesterday, and that guy from last week asked this morning (the guy who I really don't have a desire to play with again anyway, but this time, I put him off by using the tooth)!  That's FOUR missed opportunities!

I really need to get this taken care of, pronto!  I can't have my bedtimesexxyfun time fucked with this time!

Chapter 9, Page 6...

Sunday I slept in until about 9am again, getting more sleep than I thought I'd need.  Mom came by and picked me up and we went to Hagerstown to get my check, and then to Panera Bread for supper.  When I got home I ended up doing two loads of colored clothes (since I, for whatever reason, did not do a single load of laundry last week and I had to catch up), as well as a load of bedsheets.

Otherwise, I pretty much did nothing but lay on the couch and finish up the first season of the New Doctor Who.  Oh and stress about my tooth, and the infection that's returned.  BLECH.  And the fact I'm not out of the anti-biotic....not that it was doing anything for the infection anyway.

About 6, I decided to get something to eat and I ordered Chinese.  The Chinese place is right next to the new supermarket, so I went there first and bought a few things, picked up the Beef-N-Broccoli with pork fried rice (from a very cute, may I say, Asian guy behind the counter), came home, put the groceries away, and ate the Chinese food.  Later, I put the laundry away and changed the bedsheets and then went to bed, read some and then to sleep.

I know it's not much that I did, but that was it.  In addition, I ate very little.  So little that, even though I did nothing active all day, my blood sugar the next morning was 92....quite low for me.

Mom's really enjoying being out at the village.  She told me, last night she took the bus in town to the high school.  My town is having it's once-every three years Fest, and one of the celebrations was a concert by The Tribesmen.  This is a group founded back in 1954.  It's a singing group made of current students at the high school.  It's still ongoing even now.  But during every WaynesboroFest, Tribesmen from all the years return home here, practice over the weekend, and then give a free concert.

Anyway, she went to that, and when it was over, the bus took them home.  One place the bus dropped people off was basically in front of her house, and when she got off, another lady out there grabbed her hand and said, "We're going back to our place for some wine and ice cream, would you like to come?"  So mom went with them.  The house was nearby and she went with them.  A couple lives there and there were two other women with them.  They had a glass of wine, some of them ate ice cream, and they visited.

Also, she told me (I may have mentioned this before, I forget) the 400 court (there's a 100, 200, 300, 400 court made up of houses). has a cookout for supper on Labor Day.  Basically, two adjoining cottages that share driveways, put a grill and set up tables in the driveways and they have all the people from the 400 cottages over to eat.  Mom asked what she should bring, but the woman told her since she's new she doesn't have to bring anything, just come over and meet people.

And the whole 'village' is very friendly.  Everytime I drive through there, if I pass anyone walking they always wave.  Even though they don't know me, they wave to everyone.  Very friendly.

So anyway, mom's adapted quite well.  And I've surprised myself by how little I've worried about, or even thought of the old house.  I do think of it, but when I do, I just hope the new family is settling in well. I dont miss it, or get melancholy about it, or anything.  And I DO find that surprising.

Chapter 9, Page 5...

Saturday I slept in quite late, until like 10-ish I think.  And it was not pleasant sleep.  Everytime I moved, it hurt. I still ached.  Despite all this, I still managed to sleep some.

When I got up, and came downstairs, well that's pretty much all I did all day.  I laid on the couch, and watched TV, and got online some.  I watched a good portion of the first season of the New Doctor Who, with the 9th Doctor and Rose.  I had a can of soup for lunch, but for supper, with my stomach feeling better, I went to Hardee's and got a roast beef sandwich and curly fries.  And ate them without problem.

All throughout the day, my achiness declined, which was great.  Unfortunately, in the midafternoon, my tooth started to get sensitive again.  Thursday afternoon, the dentist pushed all that infection out of the little bubble in my gum under the tooth, and by Saturday afternoon, the bubble was back...and as sensitive as always.  *SIGH*  I'll have to check with the dentist the next time he's open, see if he can give me a stronger antibitoic or something.  Great.

Mom stopped by at some point during the day with some Diet Ginger Ale, cause she thought it would help my stomach.  Such a sweetheart.  We talked for a bit.  But other than her, and the chick at the drive-thru at Hardee's I had no other human contact all day.  It kinda sucked, but then again, I didn't really feel like talking to anyone anyhow.

After I watched enough of Doctor Who, I went to bed, read some, and then to sleep.

Someone book me a room (Part 248)...

Chapter 9, Page 4...

I got to work Friday without problem, and it was rather uneventful, until mid-morning.  Then, I started to feel a little upset in my stomach.  I thought it might go away when I had something to eat, but after lunch, I didn't feel any better.  And in fact I started to feel quite a bit worse.  My neck and shoulders got very VERY sore.  I started aching all over and feeling very hot.  I hung with it until 45 minutes before I was due to leave anyway, and then just left and came home.

I got here, undressed, laid on the couch and almost right away slept.  It was a very fitful sleep, but it lasted for about two hours.  it was miserable sleep, but sleep it was. When I woke up I was very warm, felt feverish, and was still very achy.  I went looking for my thermometer to see if I had a fever and....couldn't find it.  I even climbed up on a chair to look on the top shelf.  Pulled most of the cold cures I had out of the cupboard and onto the shelf and still no thermometer.  I checked in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom, nothing.

I called mom, on both her cellphone and the housephone, to see if she could go get me one, but she wasn't home.  Eventually, she called me and said she'd go get me one.  When she got here with it ("All they had was a rectal one...HA, no I'm kidding"...bless her) I used it and had a temp of 100 degrees.  After taking it, and after mom left, I had some toast and took pills and watched TV and tried not to hurt too much.

About 830, I went upstairs, took a shower, and then went to bed.  I ended up sleeping for about 12 hours, but again, it wasn't restful sleep, I kept rolling over and then I would ache, and so on and so on.  I did manage to call in to work and take off for Saturday.  I hate doing that, I can count on hand the Saturdays that I took off without prior planning to do so.

Someone book me a room (Part 247)...

Chapter 9, Page 3...

Work was okay, but really, that's not even important about today.

After work, I went to the dentist's office.  He wanted to check out my bottom tooth, the one with the crown and the abscess underneath.  I explained to him everything that had happened.  He tapped the tooth, and felt the bubble at the bottom of my jaw.  And he said, "Yep, okay, well we're gonna have to go in and get it."

And I was all like, "WHAT?"  He said that pocket is an abscess filled with infection, and we'd have to go in and get it out.  And I was all like, "WHAT?"  He explained, while he and his assistant started prepping things, "You've been taking anti-biotics for two weeks and this batch of infection is still there, so it's not going to go away on it own. We'll go in and get it out."

I'm thinking, well panicing, actually, about what all this means.  I've broken out in a cold sweat, I'm having heat flashes, I'm fanning myself, oh I'm stressing.  I asked him, if by going in to get it, meant he was going to prick the bubble through the gum and get it, or remove the crown and drill through the toorh.  And he says, "Oh no, we'll just drill right through the crown."  Oh that did NOT help things.

Okay, to make the grizzly details less so, he gave me two shorts of novacaine, and then drilled through the crown, and I presume through the tooth too.  And then he put something else in there and despite the novacaine, I felt this: sharp quick blasts of pain under my tooth.  And I grimaced, but just kept telling myself  "do it, do it, do it, do it, whatver, get it done, get it done, get it done."

And soon after that, he, and the assistant who hadthe suction, were both commenting on the infection coming out.  Obviously, not having seen it, I'm assuming it just looked like pus, which is freakin' disgusting....but that's what it is.  And he had to push on the bubble to push all the infection out to get suctioned away...I presume like popping a zit or something.  Lovely.

Anyway, after this, they had we rinse twice with Listerine, continue to do that twice a day, and come back to see them in two weeks.  If there's not infection, then they'll cap the crown and we'll be done.  If there is infection, they'll get it out again.  Oh joy.

The whole procedure took like 20 minutes, but when i got home, I was covered in sweat as if I had run a marathon.  But that's how I am with tooth issues.  I took a Vicodin before the novacaine wore off, but I really had no pain whatsoever.    I was surprised. I even ate Mama Polt's Homemade Chicken Corn Soup and a ham sandwich a bit later.  When I got up to use the bathroom about 130, I had a little pressure but took some Advil and that took care of it.

Amazing that there wasn't more pain.  But anyway, after eating, i just watched TV, did shit on the comptuer and then went to bed, read and to sleep.

Wednesday, I meant to get to work a bit early and....yeah, it didn't happen.  But to fair, I was slightly late because I got stuck for 8 minutes at a railroad crossing as a train went VEEERRRRYYYY slowly by.

After I got to work, there was paperwork to get done, which I got done, despite a fuckup on my part in the afternoon because I forgot to check everything before I did it.  Ah well, it was easily fixed.

After work, on the way home, I drove through a freakin' monsoon!  There was driving rain, hail, winds that blew the car, people pulling off to the side of the road, etc.  I was only driving about 20 mph.  Luckily it didn't last a long time, but it lasted long enough.

once I got home, I changed my clothes and putzed around here for a short while.  Then I drove to my aunt's, picked her up, and off we went to mom's cottage.  Once there, we waited for my uncle and his wife and then the five of us were off to the dining hall at Minnick Manor (this is the building on the campus that has an exercise room, and a craft room, and mom plays cards there with other people that live there, that kinda stuff.  Oh, and it also has the dining hall)

Since we were family and friends that helped move mom in, the Village was going to pick up the tab for one free meal for all of us.  Mom and I, you'll remember, had eaten there last week.  And the food was still as good this week.  This time, I ordered the steak.  It was a little thin, but it was cooked to perfection and delicious.  Other of us got the salmon or the stuffed chicken breast, and all of them were delicious as well.  And the best part was, it was free.

After we finished, we all went back to her cottage and sat there and 'visited' for about an hour or so.  The I drove my aunt home and came home myself.  When I got here, I was on the computer for a short bit, and then went to bed, to read and to sleep.

Chapter 9, Page 1...

Welcome to September!   Tuesday, I got up and got to work with no problems.  I had some work to get done that day and did so.  It was an okay day.

After work, I came home and changed my clothes and then walked over to the dentist's office.  They wanted me to stop by Monday, but I was busy, and they were busy too, so I just waited until Tuesday. I took my book, went over and told the receptionist I was there and that I'd just wait.  There were two people there.  They took one.  Then a lady came in with two teenagers.  And then another lady came in with her granddaughter (her duaghter was parking the car).  And I had been there a half hour.

I told the receptionist I'd just try another day, cause obviously they're busy and I didn't want to hold them up any more by trying to fit me in.  She said to come back Thursday at 430, and they'd get me in.

I've got anti-biotics to last through Thursday, but there's been no pain.  Luckily.  BUT, there's been...pressure, at the bottom of my jaw, and even some above the upper tooth.  Not pain, but....like I said pressure.  It leads me to believe there's something involved with the nerves....which is NOT a good thing when it comes to teeth.  But I guess I'll know more Thursday.

When I got back to my place, I got onto a few hookup apps, just to see who's on.  There was a fuckbuddy of mine who I haven't seen in a while.  I contacted him though the hookup app, and he stopped by.  After some bedtimesexxyfun, he left.

The rest of the night, I spent doing just the normal crap.  I went to bed right around 9, cause I was tired.  And then I read some and went to sleep.

Chapter 8, Page 31....

Monday, WOW what a day!

I woke up about 8, but didn't feel like getting up.  So I putzed around on my phone, playing Angry Birds, checking out hookup sites, playing solitaire, checking Facebook.  After a bit, I got a message on one of the hookup sites.  It was from a guy I had never seen before: 23, black, cute, dreads, some tattoos, all in all a nice looking package.  We chatted for a bit and decided to hookup.

Turns out, he was a trucker parked at a truck stop nearby.  He couldn't get to me, as he had no place to park the truck here.  And he had to get back on the road relatively soon, so I couldn't go get him and bring him back here.  So we agreed I'd meet him there and we'd play in his truck.

I parked at a nearby fast foo restaurant, told him I wanted to meet in public and asked him to come to the car.  When I saw him walking towards the restaurant, and that he not only looked like his pics, but actually hotter, I got out and met him and we went back to his truck.  He had a nice area in the back of the cab.  I could stand up in it, and the bed was long and wide enough for both of use, but it was a bit cramped with two of us in there.

He was nervous, as he's not out, and said he wasn't really sure what he was gay or bi, but he did want to play.  And the bedtimesexxyfun was amazing!  Unlike most young guys, he was not concerned just with himself, but wanted to make sure I had a great time as well, and was taken care of.  And while he may have been nervous, he was incredibly enthusiastic.  After we were done, I gave him a hug, we thanked each other and I left.  We also afterwards favorited each other on that hookup app.  And he said when he gets back to his are, he'll definitely hit me up there.

SO, apparently, I am now officially a lot lizard. (well not technically, as I didn't charge, nor jump from truck to truck....but still....)

After this, I came home and hung out here not doing much at all until mom came to get me.  We went to settlement together.  I wanted to meet the couple buying the house.  They're good people.  Both in their 20s, although I think she's older than him by a few years.  They both had a great sense of humor.  The guy was kinda cute too.  But we talked, about thier plans for the place (removing the carpet in the bathroom, putting up a fence for their dogs, removing a stump, etc) and had a few questions about the house for mom (where were the hardwood floors under the carpets, how much was the water/sewer/trash bill, etc).

We left first because they still had to go over some things about their loan, which didnt have anything to do with us, so the lady running the settlement said we could go.  But when we did, the girl buying the place (Ally) said she needed hugs!  She gave mom a hug and thanked her again.  And she insisted on giving me a hug too!  Gerald, the guy, gave mom a hug, but he and I just shook hands (sadly).  And then we left.

They were so excited.  And mom and I are both glad they're the ones to get the house.  They wanted it so badly (they said they had been looking since March, and they had looked at 20 houses, but once Ally saw mom's she KNEW that's the house she wanted.  She didn't want to look at any more).

Following this, we went to mom's so I could help her finish hooking up her computer, even though she had done most of it already.  And then we got KFC, brought it to my house and ate it here for supper.  After we talked a bit she left.

I laid on the couch and read and actually fell asleep, taking a short nap.  When I woke, I puttered around on the computer.  And then I got another message on that same hookup site.  This one was from a guy only 250 feet from me!  We chatted and decided he should come and we could play, which he did.

This time, it wasn't anything like the first time.  This guy was not as interesting, cute, sexy, or as fun as the first guy (who's name, by the way, was Devon).  And this guy, while also stating he's pretty sure he's bi, was only interested in getting off himself.  Not so much interest in me.  I hesitate to even call it bedtimesexxyfun, as is wasn't in bed, wasn't sexxy and wasn't fun (although it WAS a time....took the guy almost an hour of us both just working on him....*SIGH*...).    I sincerely doubt we'll get together again.

He left, and I settled in to watch the last two episodes of the 4th Series of Doctor Who (the one with Donna Noble, for those in the know).  And after finishing those, I went to bed, read a bit and then went sleep....having completed a VERY full day!
