Hispanic Heroes Month
Sunspot
Roberto de Costa was born a wealthy Brazilian businessman. After his mutant powers manifested themself he joined the New Mutants and lived at the Xavier School For Gifted Youngsters to get training in the use of his powers. His powers are, by absorbing sunlight, he gains superhuman strength, but he turns a glowing black with little black bubbles of energy floating around him. In later years he supposed also gained the ability to fly, shoot energy beams and project heat and light. However all those powers came to the fore after I stopped reading Marvel.
