Hispanic Heroes Month
White Tiger
Hector Ayala was born in Puerto Rico and came to New York City to attend college. While there, he found the tiger amulets previously used by The Sons Of Tigers, and put all three on. These gave him superhuman strength and amazing martial arts skills. He battled street gangs and supervillains and even teamed up with some heroes. He was falsely accused of murder later though and was shot dead attempting to escape. His niece later found and took over the amulet and kept the White Tiger legacy going.
White Tiger was co-created by Bill Mantlo and the Maestro George Perez himself and was one of the very first Hispanic heroes in mainstream comics.
