Hispanic Heroes Month
Toro
Toro's parents were killed in a freak accident. He was found by members of a circus and found to have a natural immunity to fire, and he became a member of the circus. He was later adopted as a sidekick by the World War II era hero Human Torch! Toro was part of the Invaders team.
He had the ability to create and engulf his body in flame, and when like that he could fly and shoot balls of flame. He survived the end of the War and later married and was living a peaceful life until, years later he was killed in battle with the Mad Thinker (in Sub-Mariner #14 in 1969).
