Badass Birthday
On this date, in 1940, in Ireland, Michael Gambon was born.
Michael Gambon was a prolific actor of movies, TV and the stage. He was in things such as Gosford Park, Christmas Carol: The Movie, Brideshead Revisited, The King's Speech, Angels In American, Little Women, and starring on stage as the main characters in Othello, Macbeth, King Lear, and he even appeared in an episode of Doctor Who! He has earned several Olivier Awards and BAFTA Awards.
But even if he had done none of this, he would still be a badass for one role: the second actor to play Dumbledore through most of the Harry Potter movies! I always thought he the better of the two.
He died in 2023 at the age of 82 after a bout of pneumonia, not from an Avada Kedavra spell.
