You have to tell me to get fired...

I've stolen this, once again, part and parcel from Scott over at Bill In Exile. Seeing as how he served several years in the Marines, I would think he would know better than myself, what this General McChrystal and his comment entail. And he does, as is evidenced below:

This is the text of Article 88 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice {the UCMJ} and that makes what General McChrystal did a crime:

“Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”

The maximum penalty for which is dismissal, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for 1 year.

So, as I said in my earlier post on this subject, FIRE THE MOTHERFUCKER ALREADY!

And that just about says it all, I think. Any questions?

Remember when people in the media were accused of being treasonous for criticizing the domestic policies of the President and the shaky rationale for war in Iraq?

I once got yelled at for 45 minutes in a Vegas casino for wearing a t-shirt that said "I didn't vote for him. He didn't get a majority. He's not my president." with a photo of Dubya.

I can't wait for the neocon Republican right-wing assholes to start jizzing in their pants over an opportunity to defend McChrystal. Because this is so very clearly so much worse than anything the media or I ever did in questioning Dubya.
