I'm sorry, but something just seems wrong about this. Grown men should not wear Hello Kitty underwear.

Even if said men have body's of underwear models. Even if said underwear is very tight. And hot looking. And looks even hotter ON said men with an underwear model body.

Hmmmm, let me look at the photo again and ponder this some more....

Mother do you think they'll like this song...

Just an update on mom, for all those concerned:

Last night when I got home from work, i called her. She said she was doing fine. She said the night before was pretty bad. She threw up eight times and she was running to the bathroom all evening long. In fact, she didn't make it sometimes. She had to wash poop out of three sets of clothes and one throw rug. One time, she was in the process of sitting down and the poop came flying out...all over the seat the back of the toilet, the wall, the floor. So there she was, cleaning up runny poop, with a fever and feeling like crap herself, and she was gagging and ended up puking because she was doing all that. She even threw up ice chips that she had been eating just so she didn't get dehydrated.

She finally went to bed about 10:30, and only slept fitfully all night. But the next morning, when she go up at like 6:30, her fever had broken and she felt better. Totally exhausted, but not sick anymore. And she was spending all day yesterday just lying around the house recooperating. She said it's been ten years at least since she's been that sick.

I'm just glad it was a one day thing, and that she's better.

When I was twelve, in summer camp (Part 26)...

12 For The 12th

These are the brainchild of Chad. Go there to see who all played this month.

12:16am
I was up late last night and couldn't get to sleep. This is what the clock said right before I turned out the light.

7:43am
Getting ready for work, post shower, and running late.

2:22pm
A coworker allowed me to take a photo of her shirt. Not only does this show the breast cancer awareness she advocates, but it also shows her weight loss. I know none of you know her, so none of you can fully appreciate this, but less than a year ago she had the surgery that reduced the size of her stomach and in the ensuing time, she's lost over 100 pounds! Yay!

4:25pm
I noticed this as I was going into my house after work. It's ice frozen coming out of my spouting. I thought it was pretty cool (icy, even!) looking.

5:31pm
Yesterday, mom and I finished putting up all the shelves on the library to house my action figures. Last night, Corey stopped by and we exchanged our Christmas gifts. What he got me was a Kingdom Come Red Arrow figure! These were only produced in limited number and you had to get them through a magazine. This figure was the only one I didn't have in the collection. And he got it on eBay for me! he's such a sweetie! Anyway, this is me putting it on the shelf.

5:50pm
While putting the figures up, I had to take a break. This is a shot of my hallway and my bathroom from the toilet. TMI?

6:41pm
Since I moved in the end of September, I've had t-shirts laying around on shelves, totally unorganized. Tonight, I got sick of it and did something about it. This is my all my t-shirts laying on my bed in different categorized piles.

6:50pm
And this is all the t-shirts on the shelves in my bedroom. Yeah, I DO have an iron, but no, I don't planon using it. I've come to terms with my clothing wrinkles.

7:00pm
I got a lot in the mail today. Firstly, a friend of mine got me a year's subscription to Good Housekeeping as a house warming gift. I would have prefered Better Homes & Gardens, as they have a lot of home improvement stuff. Good Housekeeping has too much 'women's topics' in it. But it's the thought that counts, right?

7:00pm
Oh, and I also got my tax paperwork today. 1040EZ? Pffft, not anymore. Not now that I own a house. It'll never be EZ to do my taxes again!

7:11pm
Supper: a bowl of chicken pot pie, Pepsi, a platter of meats and cheeses and some slices of mom's homemade bread!

7:25pm
My feet, even wrapped in Totes toasties, still were a little cold. So I turned on the heater and stood in front of it, to warm them up. Mmmm, cozy.

TMI Tuesdays
These come from http://tmituesday.blogspot.com/

Would you rather.....
1. Have eyes that always smile or a voice that makes people calm? Eyes that always smile. That way I can affect total strangers without saying a word. Which you'd kinda need to do to use your voice to calm them.
2. Have an affair and your partner catches you or your partner have an affair and you catch him/her? Oh definitely the latter. Cause in the former, then I've hurt my partner. And its much easier to be the hurtee and give forgiveness then it is to be the hurter and know you've caused it.
3. Have better sex or more money? More money. Cause More money could concievably lead to better sex, while better sex won't necessarily lead to more money.
4. Be able to read everyone’s mind all the time or always know the future? Oh read minds ABSOLUTELY! Why would I want to know the future? It'll happen eventually. but to know what other people are thinking, when they're lying and when their not, what they REALLY think of me, yeah, that's what I'd want!
5. Your partner have sex with someone else or fall in love with someone else? I'm pretty sure we've answered this before but definitely the have sex. Cause sex is just an action, but love involved emotions. I can have sex with someone and still love someone else, but if I love someone, it's a little hard to love someone else as well. Or sincerely.
Bonus (as in optional): What one thing, big or small, would you change in your life if granted one wish by a lamp-bound genie? Why? I'd have them give me eyes that smile, or more money, or the ability to read minds! Yeah. No seriously, I would have the genie give mom perfect health for as long as she lives, and when her times comes, to have it be a pain free death. She's deserving of no less.

Catch the perfect prize that waits among the shelves...

This afternoon, after starting last week, mom and I FINALLY got all the shelves up in the middle bedroom aka my library. I put shelves up on all four walls about a foot or so from the ceiling. On these, I shall have a place to store all my action figures, and finally be able to show they all.

Course, she and I started this last week, and eventually gave up. In the ensuing week, we got enough brackets to hold all the shelves. We restarted today...but still had to take three different trips to the local mom and pop hardward store/lumber yard. Thank God it was walking distances away. After all these trips, we finally got all the brackets up and the boards on the brackets. Only thing yet to do is to get the action figures up on the shelves. That, and reorganizing my t-shirt placement in the master bedroom are my goals for tonight.

As mom and I were doing this, she was rather gassy. Severely so, actually. And she kept apologizing for it. It ddn't even help when I made run out in the hallways to fart. She drug it back in with her. But after a bit, she started to complain about stomach pains, blaming it on the KFC we ate for lunch.

But after we were done and she had gone home, she called me to tell me she had caught something. She knew this because she threw up, was shivering cold, had a slight fever and hurt all over. Poor thing. She later called and asked me to go out to the pharmacy to get her some Emotrol (I HATE that stuff! it's sickeningly sweet andthe two times I did take some, I puked it back up. She's used it for years though, and says it works, whatever works for her, I guess).

And of course I went and got her some. When I dropped it off at the house, she was laying on the couch, with two blankets over her wrapped up to her nose. Underneath, she was wearing a sweater, a scarf, a light jacket AND gloves! And she was STILL cold! She told me not to come to close cause she didn't want me to get anything. Poor lady.

I opened the Emotrol and got her a spoon to take some. I also took the dog out so she wouldn't have to for a while. But that was all she would let me do. She thanked me, but insisted I leave so she wouldn't pass anything to me. So I did. I hate seeing her sick and not being able to do anything about it. But she went throught that for years when I was a kid, so I guess this is what she felt.

But on the upside, at least we don't have to worry anymore about getting those damn shelves up.

We've come a long way through the good and bad...

So this weekend was the first NFL playoff games.

Saturday went VERY well for me. Sunday, eh, not so much. I picked, out of a hat, the New York Jets in the $25 playoff pool at work. They won, so I'm still in that, but I don't think they're gonna make it to the Super Bowl, but if they do, I'll get $75 and if they win, and an additional $100 if they win.

Also, on Saturday, Dallas won their first playoff game since 1996. Being a Dallas fan, this was a HUGE deal for me. But I realized something else. The last game they won was in 1996, I was living at home in 1997. In 1997, I moved into my apartment. In 2009, I moved OUT of the apartment into my house. And then now, in 2010, Dallas wins another playoff game. OBVIOUSLY, I and my apartment are the reason for the Cowboys' 13 year slump. I am SOOOO sorry, Dallas fans!

Anyway, moving on to Sunday. I've been in the loser's pool at work, with $430 at stake. There were 8 of us left going into the playoffs, so we had to chose TWO teams that were going to lose this weekend. I chose the Baltimore Ravens and the Arizona Cardinals. What happened? Baltimore surprised the New England Patriots, and damn near everyone else, by beating them pretty handily. And the Cardinals beat the Green Bay Packers in overtime. So in other words, I picked wrong on BOTH my teams. The only way I'm still in it is if ALL the other 7 people picked wrong as well. What are the chances of that happening?

*SIGH* Oh well, at least I finally have a second playoff game to watch Dallas in in one season. Yay!

Dating, when i'm with them, it's only you i see...

Tonight, I had a date with Don.

We had dated (re: became friends with benefits) back in 2008 for a few months. There were issues, mainly that I had, and so it came to an end. Last month, Don emailed me and we got it set up so that we'd meet today, after work, at Borders to talk over coffee.

I got to Borders about 4:00 even though we said to meet there at 4:30. And as I waited and wandered around looking at books and such, I got SO nervous. Nervous, anxious, worried..and i don't have the slightest clue why. I was working myself up so that I was beginning to get a headache.

And then I saw him walk in, see me and smile. And I couldn't help but smile back, and the headache, tension and worry disappeared! Poof! Like magic.

We said hi and he put his hand out for a shake, but I was like, no, I pulled him into a quick hug, which he returned. And what was the first thing he said to me? "You've lost a LOT of weight, and damn, you look good." Aww... And the first thing I noticed about him? Damn did he smell good. I have no idea what the cologne was, but it was rocking!

I suggested we go to TGIFriday which was nearby, gets some appetizer to share and talk in a booth there, as there'd be a bit more privacy than in Borders. And so we did. And over the Friday's 3-For-All and sodas, we talked.

I first off thanked him for coming and agreeing to talk to me and then I apologized for the way I handeld the end of it, which really was my fault and cowardly. I handled it like a big prick. And told him so. He gracefully accepted the apology.

And then we had an awesomely easy and smooth conversation with no awkward pauses that I was worried about. he asked about the house, so I told him. In fact, I think I talked a LOT. It was such a relief to see how well everything was going I was talking fast and furious, like Sassy josh on a mix of speed AND cocaine.

We went over some of the issues we had previously, which were still in existance. I made sure he understood I wasn't terribly good at relationships and could be VERY selfish, both in a relationship and in general. He reminded me that I had told him that before (not that I remembered doing so) and that he was here talking with me anyway. He said we both had issues we'd have to deal with, but we could talk about them and maybe come to a resolution. And even if nothing else happened right away, he said that we connect on so many levels (which we do) that we can still be friends and enjoy things like movies, and comic books and shit until we get those issues resolved.

He said he was talking to a girlfriend, and she was mentioning her commitment-phobic boyfriend of six years, and then she asked if maybe I was Don's Jason (her boyfriend). He said he didn't know, but that wasn't going to stop him from seeing me again, and that that was something we could work on.

It was a thoroughly enjoying and dare I say it, magical evening, even though it was only about an hour and half long. And we made semi-defintely plans for him to come see the house next week and for us to talk some more. Here, where there's even more privacy. (at one point, he put his hands on top of mine while saying something, and afterwards, he looked over my shoulderand smiled and said we had an audience. A couple of ladies were watching. Pfft, whatever...)

And outside, as we went to leave he said, "I wanted to tell you this inside, and then I wasn't sure if I was going to or not, but now I will. I thought you were hot before. Now I see you're truly smoking." Corny, sure it was! But it made me blush and I squee-ed out loud inside my head.

So, I don't know where if anywhere this is going. As I said, we still have some of the same issues going on that we had back in 2008. But whatever, we'll take this wherever it takes us and see. And isn't that more than half the fun?

Lost his lucky touch, it's just he gambles so much...

At work today, I was involved in quite a bit of gambling.

I joined an NFL playoffs pool. There are only 12 people, and each of us put in $25, then we each pull out a name. Whoever has both the teams that reach the Super Bowl each get $75, and whichever of those holds the winner, gets the remaining $125. Course, the whole thing is chance, luck of the draw. And which team did I get? The NYJets. Whoop. Pee. I can kiss that $25 goodbye.

Also, I'm still in the NFL loser's pool, there's only 8 of us left out of the original 43. But now that we're in the playoffs, we have to pick TWO losers this weekend to lose. And there's only 4 games. And they're all good teams playing. So that makes this THAT much more difficult. I'll not tell you which teams I picked, cause I don't want to jinx myself. This game only cost $10 to get in, so thats $430 payout to the winner or winners (if the last two or three decide to split it). And there's some skill, not total chance, involved, so that makes me feel a little better. I've already managed to last 8 weeks and outlast 35 other players, so I'm hopeful.

Also, today, I joined in the Biggest Loser at work (which I believe I've mentioned before). I weighed in at 260, and will pay my ten bucks tomorrow when the neutral coworker, who's not playing but holding our money, returns. And there are 8 of us total playing. I don't really think I have a shot in hell of winning, cause other guys are going on diets and making all these exercise plans and such. And I'm pretty lazy and unmotivated and all. But we'll see.

So that's 45 dollars (and in addition, the $10 I put up to join the NFL winner's pool that I picked wrong in and lost) I've invested in the gambling at work. I'm gonna need to win one of these things just to break even!

I'll give you fish, i'll give you candy...

I've lived in the house for three months and one week, and I finally used the oven. Oh, I've used the stove top to make pasta and cups of tea and hot chocolate, but I hadn't used to oven itself. I pretty much just use the microwave or get carry out, leaving the oven cold, unused and possibly feeling inferior and left out.

Oh, but no longer! Over the weekend, on the way home from work I stopped by the grocery store to get some things, and I picked up a package of fish fillets. And that evening, I cooked the six of them in the oven itself. And they were deliciously yummy!

They don't particularly LOOK deliciously yummy, but believe me when I say they were nom-ilicious!

I told mom, and she actually applauded (she laughed too, but she did so while applauding). Then she asked me if the oven was self cleaning, and it was MY turn to laugh out loud. If I only use the oven four times a year, how often will I have to clean it? In fact, will it even get dirty enough to BE cleaned?
