Chapter 3, Page 7...
Work was not too bad. I got the new clients taken care of in the morning. A coworker asked me if I was going to the memorial service for the father of anyone co-worker, and I asked when it was. He said today, 12-1. But he was leaving and going about 1130, just to get in, say a few words to our co-worker, and then come back. And then he said I could ride with him.
And that's what we did. Went to the Funeral Home to visit with our coworker, and then come back. The whole thing took less than an hour, I think. Cause neither of us knew his father, we were just there to offer our condolences to our co-worker. Which we did.
After that, I got some other paperwork finished (geez, paperwork NEVER seem to end!) and talked to some clients who were already there. And then they work day was over.
I was going to stop to get some groceries on the way home, but then didn't. I was a bit tired. I came home, warmed up a few of the leftover pizza slices I had from the night before. Called mom and we decided to go for lunch on Sunday and we'd just hit the grocery store then.
About 630, I walked over to Rutters for some coffee....24 ounces of coffee at that time of night....yeah, thought I'd have some difficulties getting to sleep. But I did it anyway. And that's funny to me, cause I've never LIKED coffee. I drank it at work to wake up, but I never drank it here at home. Until just this winter. I don't think it's the coffee but the delicious French Vanilla Delight I put IN the coffee.
The stuff's the shit. Just sayin...
After this, I got online for a bit and then went on to the Netflix Streaming to see what I could find. Stumbled upon the Mission:Impossible TV series, seven seasons of them. I just watched the first episode, the pilot. It didn't have Peter Graves on as the team leader, it had Steven Hill, who would, thirty years later, be Manhattan's District Attorney Adam Schiff in Law&Order! Who knew?
After this and some more time online, it was about 10:00 and I was seriously tired, despite the coffee. So i went to bed, read a bit, and turned out the light before 11:00.
