Green Lantern II
DC Comics' Green Lantern II first appeared in Showcase #22 in Sept-Oct 1959. Hal Jordan was a test pilot who found a wreck site of an alien vehicle. Inside was a dying alien, who gave Hal a ring. Hal put it on and was transported to the planet Oa. He became a member of the intergalactic police force The Green Lantern Corps.
The ring allows him to fly, protects him with a forcefield and with it he can create hard light objects.
