No great loss really. I mean, he never had a shot anyway. And now, that's he's quit one party's primary, he's mulling over a run as an Independent. Which is just as pointless as his Democratic run. He's too conservative for the Democrats, obviously. And he's nowhere NEAR batshit crazy enough to have a shot with the Republicans. So he won't get Democratic votes, and he won't get any Republican votes, so, I have to wonder who he thinks WILL vote for him? Short tempered, former Republicans who become a Democrat and a one term Senator from Virginia who whines about not getting equal time, perhaps? Yep, that's about it.
Honestly, though, I really thought we'd lose Chafee or two or three other Republicans before Webb.
