Last month, Barack Obama stated that soldiers' killed in Iraq were wasted lives. The far Right, Radical Republican wingnuts go into conniptions, foaming at the mouth, and screaming from the rooftops that this proves that Democrats don't care about the troops. Obama apologizes for the statement.
Last night, Sen John McCain stated on the Letterman show that soldiers' killed in Iraq were wasted lives. The far Right, Radical Republican wingnuts.....utter not a peep. No beating of chests, no wringing of hands, nothing. McCain does not apologize.
Will Bill O'Reilly be condeming McCain on his show? Will ANYONE from Fox Noise Channel even mention this? Is there a double standard here? NOOOOO, couldn't be, could it? (Smell that kids? that's sarcasm.)
Just a note: when asked about McCain's statement, Obama said simply that he knows Sen. McCain cares about the troops. That's it.

John McCain apologized for saying wasted. He said He had a brain fart and didn't know what he was saying. sounds like Presidential material to me!
No, actually he didn't. Not as of about 800 this evening. What he said was, "The word he should have used was 'sacrificed'. He mispoke."
Okay, that's an explanation, NOT an apology. No where have I heard him say he was sorry for what he said.
And even so, my main point was that the Right were all over Obama when the word was barely even outta his mouth, but they say NOTHING 24 hours at least after McCain says it.
hypocracy...which is synonymous with the Right nowadays anyway.
definitely hypocritical. what more can be expected from politicians these days? bah.
by the way, I love the little quotes in your entries.
