Today In Gay History (Part 18)...

Gay Guys From History

James Baldwin

Mr. Baldwin lived from 1924 - 1987.  He was an author, poet and playwright.  His works explore racial, sexual and class issues and the individual's request for acceptance.  He left the USA for Paris in his twenties, where he came to terms with his homosexuality.  He later returned to New York and continued his work there.
