19) Freddie Mercury


Mr. Mercury lived from 1946 - 1991.  He was the lead singer of Queen, singing songs like "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Somebody To Love", "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", "We Are The Champions" and the theme to the movie "Flash Gordon".  He died of AIDS complications.

20) Elton John


Mr. John was born in 1947.  With his collaborator Bernie Taupin, he has made over 30 albums in his career.  He's sung such songs as "Benny And The Jets", "Daniel", "Candle In The Wind", "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road", and "Philadelphia Freedom".  He joined his partner David Furnish, in a civil partnership in 2005.  They have two songs by the same surrogate mother.

21) Rufus Wainwright


Mr. Wainwright was born in 1973.  He has recorded seven albums.  He's sung such songs as "Oh What A World", "California", "Cigarettes And Chocolate Milk", "Across The Universe" and "Hallelujah".     He married his husband Jorn Weisbrodt in New York in 2010.

22) Ricky Martin


Mr. Martin was born in 1971 in Puerto Rico.  He got his start in the boyband Menudo and then broke into a solo career in 1991.  He has sung such songs as "La Vida Loca" and "She Bangs".  He and his partner Carlos González Abella are the parents of twin sons born in 2008.
