When I was twelve, at summer camp (Part 14)...

12 For The 12th
(posted on the 13th)

7:23 AM
Putting on my shoes before I go out the door to work.

7:25 AM
Miss Cleo, waiting for me, in the rain, in her off-street parking spot.

7:30AM
My mom gets the local morning paper delivered. She reads it and then puts it back in the box for me to get and take to work. If she's outside when I pull up, she brings it to me, right to my door. And if Angel aka The Poopinator, is out with her, Angel hears my car coming, and starts whining. So mom picks her up and holds to the window so I can say Hi to her. And this is what's in this photo: Mom, the paper and The Poopinator.

1:35 PM
The view from my chair at work. And yes, just like my apartment, my office is rather cluttered as well, including the desk.

4:09 PM
It was raining again as I left work. This is my windshield wipers doing their duty as I'm driving home.

5:58 PM
I had a kinda-sorta-but not quite date that night, and I had to brush my teeth before I left the house.

6:28 PM
I was going with my friend Michelle to see a play. This is Michelle, her dog Josie, and me.

6:50 PM
Michelle drove, and we used her Magellan since neither of us had been to this place before. And plus it was still rainy, as you can see. I got to be the Navigator, always a fun job.

7:17 PM
Finally having found the place (the Magellan wasn't quite as precise as we would have liked...but MY navigating skills were), and finding parking, another chore, we walked to the theater.

7:26 PM
These are our tickets to the play. And we're in the basement of the theater, where they have a nice little area for intermissions, with a bar and bathrooms, and artwork and such. Very nice place.

10:45 PM
We were at the Old Opera House in Charlestown WV. I didn't expect much considering it's West-by-GOD-Virginia, but honestly, I surprised by the theater, it was quite nice and pleasant. And I was surprised by Charlestown as well, seems a very nice town, at least downtown. I was unimpressed with all the commercialism taking place over by the Racetrack, with all the neon signs advertising hotels, motels, fast food joints and such. Kinda ruined the ambiance of the old big houses, and small town feel of the rest of the town. And what did we SEE at the Old Opera House?

10:47PM
"The Full Monty"! And indeed, they DID do the FULL monty, but did it in such as fashion as we couldn't actually see anything. Except we did see them all in their underwear, and in thongs, and saw all their asses, especially the one young cutie. He looked amazingly like Drake Bell, same reddish hair, smae body type and face type, same facial expressions, just a real cutie. I kept my eyes on him most of the time.

The play itself was freakin' hiLARious! I really laughed and laughed. Considering it was all local people, it was a very professional performance. Also, a guy that I used to work with was the lead in the play. I never knew Chad could act, or sing, and that was a surprise as well. But Michelle and I both agreed the play was great. If it was playing for a longer stint, I'd go see it again, it was that funny.

(this is a photo from the local newspaper coverage of it. The kid in the red on the right is the Drake Bell clone. The guy on the left in the white shirt and red sleeves is my ex-coworker Chad)

After the play, we stopped by Michelle's brother, Rich's house and visited over a glass of wine. unfortunately, I forgot to get any photos there...maybe next time.
