Like a winter storm, before the rain come pourin' down...

Naturally, during the snowpocalypse, I took photos.

When I got home last night about 11:30 PM, this was the view from my back porch. Not too bad yet.

This morning, about 11:00am, this was the same view. Still not too bad. But when I looked out the window about two hours ago, Miss Cleo's tires were roughly half covered with snow, so you can figure out how much more we've gotten.

A view through my front storm door, mid afternoon. You can see it coming down against the house on the other side of the street.

Another view out the front door.

My boots are totally covered in the snow as I walked to mom's. These particular boots go around my ankles, should give you an idea of the depth.

Walking up a hill on the way to moms. I found this one particularly beautiful.

This is either me once I reached mom's or the first proof of an abominable snowman.

At mom's Angel had to go out. Mom had said earlier in the morning, mom let her out the backdoor, she had kept the gate open. But Angel walked across the patio, stood at the gate, and peed right there, and then ran back inside. She didn't even bother to go outside the gate into the yard. I let her out the front door. She was walking around the sidewalk and into the grass, it was up against her stomach, but she jsut stopped and peed. I doubt she even had to squat as high as the snow was. At least we didn't lose her in the snow.

Might have more photos tomorrow once I get up and start shoveling again.

It's a beautiful day, don't let it get away....

So, the snow came. A lot of it. And as I predicted, the family Christmas, including the family photo, was canceled. Well, rescheduled, actually, until January 3rd. So maybe we just weren't meant to get the photo this particular year.

Today, I had set my alarm for 9:30. Mom called me about a half hour before. After the call, I got up threw on some clothes and went outside to shovel off the sidewalk. I don't have a large or long sidewalk, thankfully. Once I came back inside, I fooled around on the computer for a bit before getting all the winter clothes back on and heading up to mom's (thank goodness she lives close by). She had made chili and I went up to get some for lunch. Deliciousness.

On the way there, I got the full effect of a winter storm. I felt the cold, of course. But there was more. I could tell someone was doing laundry because I smelled the fabric softner from the dryer. I saw a couple, perhaps a man and wife, shovleing off thier sidewalk, and I heard them talking as well as their shovels scraping concrete. Somewhere, in a yard, I heard kids loudly, joyously laughing, perhaps building a snoman, or making snowangels, or chasing each other through the powder. As the few rare cars passed, their tires were muffled, as if they weren't really there, just an echo of a car that passed before. I could see my breath, especially as I climbed up the street on the hill. Everything was felt cold, everything looked bright and white, everything sounded subdued.

I love a winter storm.

Afterwards, went I got home, I shoveled the sidewalk again, even though it turned out a neighbor has used the snow blower on it, clearing off the sidewalk in the front of about four houses. I don't even know the guy's name, I've seen him a house over but never spoken to him. And after that I ended up taking a three hour nap. I finally took a shower when I got up.

Not, I intend on putting together something to eat and then watching Dallas lose again in December.

What a slow do-nothing day. How beautiful it looked, how relaxing it felt, and pleasant it was to have a day like this.

That's why i give you jitters, it figures...

It figures.

Six years ago, I organized a photo of my 6 cousins and I, as well our various spouses and kids taken professionally, and we had them framed and given to our parents and grandparents as Christmas gifts that year.

Last year, since there had been several marriages, seperations and kids in those 5 years, my cousin said she'd get us all together for another photo. And she tried all year, but couldn't manage it.

Last Christmas, I said I'd get us together for a photo this year. And I tried. But people went on vacations, or weren't available this week or that week or whatever. My one cousin got married in July and all of us were going to be there, so we thought of doing it them, even though she'd be in a wedding gown. But one cousin didn't know about this and didn't bring her young son, so we called it off. probably a good idea, since it wouldn't have looked right to have some in wedding attire and others in just jean shorts (yeah, I got family members that wear jean shorts to a wedding...don't judge). At any rate, I just couldn't bring it all together.

Then, two weeks ago, mom and I were talking about the family Christmas getogether tomorrow night. Everyone would be there, and we decided we'd just get a photo taken then, WITH grandma and our parents and everyone: the whole entire family. Mom set about calling everyone and telling them and telling them SHE was in charge of it (not our aunt who views herself as a 'professional' photographer and always has to take a dozen photos of every shot because someone blinked, or wasn't looking or wasn't smiling or whatever).

And just last week I thought to myself, "Well good, finally it'll get done. Only that could stop it now would be a snowstorm."

.............*SIGH*............ forecast for tomorrow night? Major snowstorm, starting tonight, anywhere from 1-3 to 6-10 inches for our area, depending. I guess fate, kimset, the gods, karma, whatever, just do NOT want us to take this photo.

If freakin' figures.

So this is the first of the traditional Os theme weeks around the holidays. This week's theme is "Christmas Tree", we're to take an HNT of us with our Christmas tree. And since I'm a slave to peer pressure, how could I say no? So here it is:

This is my purple Christmas tree, with some of the wrapped present underneath it, my bare thighs...and a Santa hat covering the Polt Naughty Bits.

You got me feelin' emotions, and higher, higher, higher...

I had someone at work tell me recently that I say a lot without saying a word, with just my facial expressions. It got me thinking, maybe I CAN convey emotions with just the raising of an eyeborw or the curl of my lip. I stood in front of the mirror and tried it and lo and behold, I DID show a lot of emotions.

So I decided to photograph them and share them with you all here. I call them Poltemoticons, or Polticons for short (although that last one sounds a bit like a Transformer toy, so I probably won't use that one too much).

Enjoy.

1. Have you ever mooned/flashed anyone? How long ago? I don’t believe I have. Well not on purpose anyways.
2. Pick an animal that best displays your personality. Jackass? No, about a famous animal: Fozzy Bear from the Muppets. I think that’s close.
3. Do you mail out holiday cards, and if so, how do you pick the list? Every year for the last decade or more I’ve sent out cards. Basically it’s the same list each year with a few additions of people I met over that year. This year, I sent out 52.
4. How often do you wear something sexy to get attention (lingerie, low cut dress, silk boxers, etc...)? Never. Since I don’t have a partner I can pay myself all the attention I desire without wearing anything in particular.
5. Have you ever tasted breast milk SINCE you were an adult? No. And I’m pretty darn sure I can confidently say I never will. Well not on purpose anyways.
Bonus: Do you like "talking" when you have sex? If I’m particularly wound up, I tend to get talking. The other guy, all he needs to do is moan, although a few appropriate words said at the appropriate times can enhance the experience.
Double Bonus: If Santa is a guy, how is it that he never seems to get lost? Because Rudolph’s red nose is actually a GPS.

Bits-N-Pieces

Today, spent four hours shopping. Visited Lowes, Sams, The Christmas Stores, Target, Micheals, The Calendar Club, walked around the Prime Outlets and Wal-Mart. Plus, I ate some Mexican (food, not person. Although one of those waiters was quite tempting....).

I think I'm finished with my shopping. Course, I thought this at least twice before. And both times, I realized there was still something else I needed to get. Li But now I truly hope I AM done shopping for Christmas, cause everytime I do go out and do it, it's just a little bit crazier. And my life is crazy enough, i don't need anymore.
***********************************
At Sams, I saw they had several seasons of "Moonlighting" on DVD, I got the 1st/2nd seasons. Also, they had a few seasons of "tar Trek: The Next Generation." But I noticed something that caught my eye: the final season of Moonlighting and the 2nd season of ST:TNG were both cheaper than the other seasons. And then I remembered the last season of Moonlight and the 2nd season of ST:TNG sucked. Badly. So it's appropriate that they cost less. More suckage=less cost. (in DVDs, not in prostitutes)

I've discovered an old clip from the early 90's. Its the first appearance of Lady Gaga!

My mom called me and when I picked up she was laughing. She said she picked up the phone to call me but wanted to change the tv too, so she hit 0-1-2 on the phone, and was momentarily confused as to why the tv hadn't changed. Between laughs, I told her it was a good thing she didn't try to call me on the remote. She laughed more and said she'd done that before. More than once. God love Mama Polt.

I found a set of speakers made specifically for iPods. Got them at Target for $5, so yeah, they high quality. But they do the job. This is the iPod in the speakers stand:

Only later did I realize the speakers had the capability of lighting up as well:

Angel delight, give me my reward in heaven tonight...

I have decided, in fact I did so over the last few months, that after the holidays, I would buy a new desktop, an iPhone, and a flat screen LCD TV. The TV, mom's been pushing on me for two years, even going so far last year as to say she'd buy me one. But I could never justify it. The tv I have, 30 couple inches, is fine, I couldn't justify spending all the money on a TV.

However, a few weeks ago, I watched the latest Star Trek movie on the flat screen TV of A Local Celebrity, Mr. David ParisPeking and it was incredible. Now granted, that was also on blu-ray, but still, it was SO clear, just like I was in a theater watching it. And then, last week, during one of my multiple trips to Wal-Mart (don't judge) I happened to be in the electronic dept and I casually checked out the TV's they had on display...and was drawn in. And it was then that I decided, even though I still couldn't justify it, I would be getting a TV early next year.

Cut to today. Mom and I go to eat at Fuddruckers, and then to Target cause she's looking for an LCD tree topper (don't ask). We go inside, she picks up a flyer, and what's on the front? A 31.5 inch flat screen LCD Sylvania TV for $299 ("You save $70!") So while mom went off to the Christmas section of the store, I wandered off to the electronics section.

And I found the TV that was on sale. And I was quite impressed. It looked SO nice. And it would clearly fit on my tv stand. And speaking of clear, my GOD it was clear, and sharp, and just reeked awesomeness. In fact, I think I heard one calling from a box to me "buy me, Polt, buy me. You know you want to!"

I'm not one to ignore disembodied voices that no one else hears cause they're inside my head, so, I bought it. I justified it by saying since I have all my shopping done, and some of the wrapping done, this is my reward. I was just gonna say it was my Christmas present to myself...and then I remembered the book, and three CD's, and jacket, and shirt, and super hero undies, the graphic novels I bought at a recent sale at the comic book store...all of which were supposed to be 'my Christmas gifts to myself'. So this tv, this was my reward.

At any rate, this is the beauty I purchased, sitting in it's place of prominence in my living room.

And yeah, it's showing today's Dallas game, which they squandered away. But I shouldn't be surprised, it IS December and Dallas always implodes in December. But I'm not sad, cause I watched the debacle on a flat screen LCD tv!

Two words: Suh & Weet.

Once when I was twelve, in summer camp (Part 25)...

12 for the 12th
This is the brainchild of Chad Darnell.

8:00am
This is the temperature inside my car when I got in it to go to work. COLD!

8:16am
Driving to work on Saturdays always is easier cause there's less traffic on the roads. I get there much faster and quicker.

8:47am
What do I do when I first get to work? Get a cup of coffee. Then log on the computer. And then, I do online stuff get to work.

10:21am
Saw this at work, and it boggled my mind. Someone finished off the toilet paper roll and took the time to unwrap a new roll, but they didn't take the time to replace the roll. And what's worse, this is not a full roll, meaning someone came in after the first person did it, saw it sitting there, used the paper and didn't bother to replace the roll either! What's wrong with people?

11:22am
I usually very VERY busy at work, which should be obvious to you from this photo.

4:36pm
After work, I stopped to get gas. $2.59, the lowest its been in several months.

4:42pm
I got home from work, got a few Christmas cards in the mail, and hung them up with all the others I have already gotten.

5:57pm
Decided to get started on some of the wrapping. In doing so, I discovered I had not gotten my cousin toe-socks like I thought I had, I had gotten her Christmas socks. This meant I had to go back out to Wal-Mart...to exchange them...in the cold...on a Saturday night...two weeks before Christmas....yeah, this was gonna be fun.

6:57pm
On the way there, I stopped by Lowe's. My excuse was to see if a...'friend' was working there and to see what he was doing later that night. Unfortunately, he wasn't working, but I DID happen to find a string to hold Christmas cards! If I can find a place to hang it up, I won't have to tape the cards to the wall!

7:55pm
At Wal-Mart, I had no trouble with traffic, or parking, or waiting in line for the exchange, or with crowds. It was miraculous. I returned the socks, found the tube socks, and then, as per usual, found myself a few gifts. This photo shows what I scored: a new jacket, a pair of Superman briefs and a pair of Batman briefs! I LOVE Christmastime!

9:17pm
Later, I went to the Green Turtle with Ghostie and A Local Celebrity, Mr. David ParisPeking. We went there to get something to eat and to watch the UFC pay-per-view. This is the food we had. Maury and ALCMDPP were there for the fights, I was there to watch the hot, sweaty, muscley studs enbrace each other and roll around on the floor. I swear, at time I couldn't tell if I was watching UFC or gay porn. Also, at several points in the evening, ALCMDPP repeated "butt sex" over and over and over again. And Ghostie said, "David, I think you're very fuckable." What with what they said and what was on the TV I thought I was in a gay bar!

10:40pm
This is the winner of the first match, some Danish guy 21 years old who stood 6 foot 11 inches tall. I kid you not. And he was freakin' built! Very nice to look at.

Keepin' alive family traditions, when he lied about intentions...

From the time I was born, from my earliest memories, every Christmas Eve, we’d go to my grandparent’s house. It was my grandparents, my mom and dad, me, my mom’s sister and brothers, their spouses and kids. Back in the 90’s we were having 17 people there.

We’d have a dinner meal, then us ‘kids’ (I’m the oldest, my cousin Faith is the youngest, 14 years younger than me, and there’s 7 of us total) would give gifts to the person who’s name we drew back in October. And the grandparents would give us each something as well.

It was fun, lots of laughing, joking, just having a good time being with each other. A holiday tradition.

Then, my grandfather got sick with cancer and died in 1998. And the next year, there was a falling out between my mom’s siblings, although mom herself stayed out of it. So there were separate Christmas celebrations for several years, but we were invited to both of them since we hadn’t chosen a side.

Then, in 2007, my dad was diagnosed with cancer and died. Before his death, all the various relatives were coming by to visit and were obviously saddened by the death. I think his death showed them all how stupid and silly they were being, so that Christmas, and last year’s and this year’s as well, the whole family will be together, although there will be about 30 of us now, with spouses and kids of the grandchildren (my generation).

And it’s all great that we’re all together, but we no longer do this on Christmas Eve. We do it on the Saturday night before Christmas, which this year will be a week before hand.

So in the last 8-10 years, I’ve had my own Christmas Eve traditions. In the evening, I turn on all the decorations, get something special to drink (some years, ice cold Pepsi, other years mug of hot chocolate or glass of Asti), I settle comfortably into the sofa and watch two shows. Firstly, I watch the Christmas episode of
My So-Called Life . It never EVER fails to make my cry like a baby. At the end, when Rickie, the gay kid who’s been kicked out on the streets, is found my Angela’s mother, who has never approved of him, and they see each other and then just hug. Oh, I’m getting teary right now even typing it. If you’ve seen it, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, then shut up, don’t judge me.

And after that, I need a pick me up, so I watch
The Year Without A Santa Claus , which is by the way, THE best, most awesomeness Christmas TV special ever made. I sing along with nearly every song, and actually find myself laughing out loud I parts, even though I’ve seen it countless times.

And then, I got to bed, with visions of sugarplums in my head.

So what Christmas traditions do you have?

Once more, its time for...

Now I know, as per every year, Os has given us theme's for the next three weeks. And I also know that next week is the Christmas Tree HNT. However, this year I found an adorable little purple colored LCD tree that I so wanted to include in an HNT, and I thought, why not do that right now? I just had to think of a way to make it an HNT. Out with the girls, got my hair color right...

Today, after work I had my monthly cut-n-color. Yes, kids, I know it may come as a shock to some of you, but Uncle Polt's mahoghany locks are...not natural. The lovely and talented Linda Sue started coloring them roughly 9 years ago or so to cover the grey at my temples. She made the color to match my goatee, which was naturally red, and I think she did a great job. Some people honestly were surprised when I told them I colored it because of my goatee, they thought the hair was naturally that color.

I do it every month to, yes cover the grey (which has expanded all over the sides of my head and back behind my ears), but also because I simply like the color. The hair is naturally a boring, drab, mousy brown. But I like the reddish color. It's distinctive.

But it must be constantly refreshed once every month. And so this month, I finally snapped a photo. It takes a LOT of work to look this gorgeous.

And as the photo shows, it's best NOT to look while the work is in progress!

If I gave up every time I peed my pants I wouldn't be married, have three of my four kids and wouldn't he here tonight! - Saturday Night Live

Whoa oh, it's christmas time pretty baby,..

I'm experiencing quite a dichotomy of emotions lately. Firstly, I'm for some reason, really into Christmas this year. Not that I'm not other years, but this year, I seem to be all 'in the season' and early on. I've already taken care of my Christmas cards and decorating (which I normally due the first week of December anyway), but I'm already done shopping. And I've got a few wrapped already. And that NEVER happens this soon.

Plus, Christmas music isn't irritating me like it normally does. I've found a radio station that's playing nothing but Christmas music, and that's really all I listen to now while driving anywhere. And usually, I'm all tired of and quite over Christmas music by now, if indeed I ever get 'into' it. And I heard the Hannukah Song today and did NOT turn it off. I got nothing against Jews, but I do NOT like Adam Sandler much, nor that song at all. Usually. But this year, it's fine. And I find myself whistling or humming Christmas songs throughout the day.

It's not like I'm running around wearing reindeer antlers, mistletoe, and only red and green. But, other than people being idiots when driving or when shopping, I'm not getting as irritated as I usually do. And it's a good, albeit surprising, feeling.

On the other end, I'm much more sensitive, emotionally. I find that I'm second guessing myself a lot before I say or write something, cause I don't want to offend or upset others. And I'm finding that I have very thin skin lately, with things bothering me that normally wouldn't. I'm less sure of myself in a lot of decisions I've been making. Not earth shattering stuff, just everyday things. "Should I say this?" "Will this bad thing happen if I don't do the following?" "Do I need to worry why he asked me that?" "What did he mean by THAT?" No, I don't get it either. Don't know why I'm doing this, so I don't know how to stop it. Things like this come and go though, so I hope to just wait until it goes away.

And I'll enjoy the Christmasy feelings, I guess, until the others do go away. At least that's my plan.

1. Which is more important of the two in "chemisty," physical attractiveness or emotional attractiveness? I think it matters what type of 'chemistry' we're talking about. If it's chemistry for a hookup for the night, then physical attractiveness is all that really matters. If it's for a relationship, then emotional attractiveness is more important.
2. On a scale from 1-10, how kinky are you? I'll go with a 5, maybe a 6.
3. Sitting on Santa's lap... fun or creepy? Well, at my age now, pretty freakin' creepy, for everyone involved. But as a kid, no, that was simply fun!
4. Have you ever fallen asleep or passed out during sex? Nope, never. Immediately afterwards, oh yeah. Sex is a great sleep aide!
5. Do you wear socks to bed? Is that okay or totally unsexy? I wear socks to bed cause my feet are cold, it has nothing to do with sexiness. In fact, I would assume feeling a block of ice against your skin in the middle of the act would be pretty darn un-sexy. Hence, the socks.
Bonus: What is your greatest strength? Weakness? Weakness is my procrastination. that's an easy one. Greatest strength? Hmm...friendliness? I'm pretty easy to get along with, I think.

Right for the weekend, crazy clothes, anything...

My weekend.

All last week, the comic book store was having a sale. Luke, the owner does this periodically to clear out old inventory. On Friday, I stopped by and I ended up spending just a smidge more than $100. I know, it surprised even me I spent that much. But I got at least a half dozen graphic novels, and an action figure set. And remember, nearly everything I purchased was 50% off, so that's an excellent deal, I think. And this is the action figure set I got:

It's the Young_Avengers. I do quite enjoy the Young Avengers, but that's not the sole reason I got this set. See, the two figures on the right are Hulking and the Asgardian, two teenaged superheroes. And it just so happens they're both gay as well. And in a relationship. And I have to support my gay brothers in comics (it's the only reason I bought the Batwoman figure last year).
Saturday, it snowed here, which I think I've mentioned already, but this is a photo I took on the way home:

It was a dead end road I was driving up, and there was no traffic, and the road was clear. Don't worry, I'm not stupid enough to take a photo like this in a dangerous situation.

As I went I got to mom's on Sunday I saw this on her patio:

She keeps this large star hanging up on the side of the house, but she's put a lighted wreath up there for the holidays. So she left this on the picnic table. And I thought it an interesting photo.

Also, I got to watch the Redskins lose in overtime, which was awesome. And I saw on the ticket that the Steelers lost to the Raiders, of all teams, which was awesome as well. Course, then Dallas lost to the Giants, which was very sad. But not unexpected. I mean, it IS December, and the Cowboys always implode during December for some reason. They have for the last few decades (or so it seems) so why should this year be any different?

Today, I went Christmas shopping but it was very frustrating. I spilled the whole batch of icey snow that was on my trunk INSIDE the trunk when I opened it, onto a few things and soaking into the carpet back there. I had trouble finding gifts for my little cousins, and it took a well timed pep talk from mom to NOT have me just up and leave and buy them all gift certificates. The traffic was nuts, every old person was out and in front of my refusing to drive over 35 miles an hour. People inside the stores were even crazier: stopping in the middle of an aisle, with their cart at an angle blocking all of it; stopping instantly to get thier cell phone without warning and having me almost crash into them; parking thier carts in the middle of the aisles to talk to each other about the gifts they were buying; talking so loudly on the phones that I can hear thier conversations in the next aisle. Frankly, I was surprised I didn't punch someone right in the throat. Or several someones.

On the upside, I did get all my shopping done, and even got a few things for myself. The best of which is what follows:

Yeah, a Spock doll. And this one I HAVE to call a doll because it's from....the Barbie collection. *SIGH* Never thought I'd ever buy a Barbie anything, but what could I do?

And of course, once I got home, the day didn't end. Getting the bags out of the backseat, one tipped on me, dropping the book and calendar in it onto the ground. I managed to get everything put back together, but as I was walking to the backdoor, the handle on another bag broke, dropping the two things in it onto the alley.

So yeah, once I got inside, I've stayed inside. I'm afraid if I go outside again, I might kill someone. Or myself. And after I managed to snag a half hour nap, everything seems not as bad as it was earlier in the day.

Oh, and for those readers who have sent me money (and you know who you are) watch your mailboxes, as something was mailed out to all of you today.

I think, last night, in my sleep, I died, and this is my own PERSONAL hell! - Ed, The Sock

Dinner at eight, she likes the theater but never comes late...

Last night, we got our first snow here. They say it was just a bit over an inch. It snowed as I drove to work and pretty much kept going until it got dark. But it only laid on the grass. The roads and sidewalks were just wet. And it was beautiful. I love the first snow of the year. In fact, pretty much ANY snow up through the New Year celebration, I love. (Well, as long as it' not like a foot or more of snow). Once we get into the new year, I generally get sick of snow and don't want it anymore. But whatever, it's not like I have any control over that anyway.

After work then, Michelle and I had reservations at a local dinner theater. I had never been to any dinner theater before (well, not for the theater performance anyway...but more on that a bit later), she had been to this place several times before. I was quite impressed. The food was outSTANDing! There wasn't a single thing there that wasn't tasty.

The theater part of it was a holiday show. Basically, they had about a dozen actors singing Christmas songs in the loose plot of a family getting together for the holiday. Had 5 kids in it, none older than 7, I'd say, and they were aDORable. They had 'grandma' there too, and she was pretty funny. Everyone was talented, some people had better voices than others, but all of them were very good.

I had a thoroughly fun and entertaining time. And so did Michelle. We decided we were going to get season tickets: the coming shows are "The Odd Couple", "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas", "Oliver" and another one I can't recall, but which we thought sounded good.

I knew, from the photos that Danny would be in the show. Also, I saw the a guy named Jeff was in it too. Jeff is a guy I met through a mutual friend back in 1995. We both hung out in the same group for a few months, and we hooked up once. I don't remember how it occured, but I remember we were at his house getting it on, and the phone rang. Apparently it was an important call, cause he had to stop to get it. And it was a kinda long call. So I went out into the living room where the phone was, and while he was on it, kept playing with him, both orally and with my hand while he tired to maintain the conversation. We both laughed about it later.

Also, about that same time, I ran into Danny at the gay bar across the street from the playhouse. And we ended up going to the Playhouse (it was after midnight, but Danny had a key) and went inside and got it on on the stage. But it was in the dark, because he didn't want anyone to see the lights on. Made it quite interesting getting to the sofa on the stage, but a good thing Danny knew his way around in there in the dark.

Anyway, the time I had last night really wasn't as good as the first time I was there, but it was quite enjoyable nonetheless. And I can't wait to go back.

Fading gray, here and gone, like a decoration for the holiday...

Last night, I finally got all the Christmas decorating finished (I start Sunday night, so it only took me like 5 days!) And of course, I got pics.

The purple Christmas tree, in front of the hanging purple stocking, with the little LCD purple Christmas Tree centerpiece on the table.

I decorated the DVD stands with Santa hats and a personalized stocking.

A big stocking (it's about three feet from top to bottom) hanging on the wall.

I strung Christmas lights up the bannister. And I hung a large purple ribbon on the front of the pole.

The lights looking down the stairs.

In my bedroom window I put a Dallas Cowboys Christmas Tree.

White star, sliver/blue tinsel wrapped around it and at the bottom, candie cane shaped Cowboys ornaments, two round glass ornaments and a ornament shaped like a Dallas jersey, all draped in strings of blue lights!

The Dallas Cowboy tree from outside and across the street.

Looking in the front door, with the blind open, to see the purple Christmas tree.

The front of the entire house: purple tree through door, Dallas Cowboy tree at upper window and candles in all the other front windows.

Not bad for my first attempt at decorating the house, eh?

Once more, it's time for...

Earlier this week, I did some Christmas decorating: put up the new tree, deocrated it, put battery operated candles in the windows, strung some lights up the bannister, etc. And as usual, I had issues with the string of lights. Or rather, it had issues with me.

I think next year, I'm just not gonna use lights.

Toughest tree around, the timber man will bring it down...

When I bought the house, there was a tree in the backyard I didn't like. It was just kinda sitting there, sorta in the way. And once I started parking Miss Cleo in the parking area I had made in the backyard, leaves and bird shit covered the poor girl. So I wanted the tree taken down. Also, there were some branches from the back tree overhanging the parking area as well, but I only wanted those branches taken down, not that whole tree.

A guy came and did it, but he left a large chunk of trunk there for about three weeks until he finally came and took that down too. Now, I don't have to worry about leaves or birdshit, I don't have to worry about trying to navigate between it and the wall on the other side of the alley. And it's opened up the yard, letting light in and improving the view.

Here is montage of the scene:

The tree.

The trunk.

Just the stump and some sawdust.

An utterance, information, don't mince words (Part 164)...

TMI Tuesdays
Each week, these come from http://tmituesday.blogspot.com/

1. What are your feelings about traditional bachelor/bachelorette parties? Since I can't legally marry, and since I haven't found anyone I'd actually want to marry anyway, I don't really have feelings on them. But I do think, if one is to occur, the honoree's future spouse needs to lighten up and not freak out about it.
2. Do you wear (or not wear) something special to bed/dress differently when you want to have sex? Well, I normally sleep in the nude and I normally have sex in the nude, so when I'm going to bed, for either purpose, it's usually no clothes at all.
3. Do you ever fake orgasms? I have, although not recently. I'm not that much into anal sex, but I've been with guys that are. So after I've been pumping away on them for awhile, to satisfy them, and having lost interest in it myself, I fake and orgasm, then quickly high tail it to the bathroom to dispose of the condom so they can't see I faked it. Plus, I'm still honry when I return, so my continued state of arousal after 'orgasm' seems impressive.
4. Do you own any leather or rubber clothing? I have some leather belts, does that count?
5. On a scale from 1-10, how willing are you to do something in bed you don't want to just because you are asked? 1. If I don't wanna do it, then I'm not willing to. UNLESS, my partner's done something they don't really want to do just cause i asked them. Then I feel it's only fair to reciprocate in some way.
Bonus: Can men and women be "just friends?" I know gay men and straight women can, all my female friends are proof of that.
