Black Goliath
Marvel Comics' Dr. Bill Foster first appeared in Avengers 32 in September 1966, and became Black Goliath in Power Man #24 in April 1975. Dr. William Foster was a scientist at Stark Industries. He worked with Hank Pym aka Giant Man on a cure for Pym's being stuck at 10 feet tall. Later, Dr Foster used some of Pym's "Pym Particles" and gained the ability to change his size, growing in height, and taking the name Black Goliath.
In Los Angeles, he worked with the superhero team the Champions for a short time before they disbanded. Black Goliath then split his time between his scientific duties and his superhero-ing. Eventually, he dropped the Black Goliath persona completely.
In one of Marvel Comics' idiotic huge crossover events, Civil War, he put on the Black Goliath costume and fought alongside Captain America's team, where he was killed.
