Power Man
Marvel Comics' Power Man first appeared in Luke Cage: Hero For Hire #1 in June 1972. Imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit, Luke Cage volunteered for a research project on cell regeneration. The results of the experiments on him gave him super strength and unbreakable skin.
He worked first in the crime ridden parts of New York City working for anyone who could pay his price. He ended up working with both the Fantastic Four and the Defenders, each for a separate period of time. Later still, he joined with Iron Fist and they opened the Heroes For Hire. After quite some time, the two-some split. Power Man joined the Avengers for a time before going back to being solo.
