History is only made by the masses of the people (Part 19)...

Black Super Hero History Month

Night Thrasher

Marvel Comics' Night Thrasher first appeared in Thor #411 in December 1989.  Dwayne Taylor saw his wealthy parents murdered before his eyes.  Because of this, he decided to hone himself into a human fighting instrument and enact his revenge on all wrong-doers.  Despite still being a minor, he had a controlling interest in his parent's Taylor Foundation.

He used the Foundation's resources to track and investigate several young super-heroes and brought them all together as The New Warriors.  He led the team for several years.  Eventually, he left the team, went solo for a bit very briefly joining the Avengers, before retiring to just run the Taylor Foundation.

He had no super-powers, although he was an exceptional hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist.  He developed combat armor that he wore, to increase his strength and toughness.
