Bumblebee
DC Comics' Bumblebee first appeared in Teen Titans #45 in December 1976. Karen Beecher, in addition to being a scientist, was the girlfriend of Titans' member Mal Duncan. She joined the Titans, and when the team disbanded, she and Mal married and retired from superhero-ing. She then took a job at S.T.A.R. labs working on non-lethal weaponry. She, and Mal, have come out of retirement periodically.
She wears a superpowered bio-suit, that allows her to fly and fire 'stings'. She was DC Comics first ever black, female superhero.
