Furlough, what do U mean? Try it, it's fast...

Last week, the House of Representatives, by a vote of 229-194, passed a bill that would force the military to give our men and women in uniform time off, at home, between deployments. It would give even longer time between deployments to National Guard and Reserve units.

Our three local Representatives PA's Shuster, MD's Bartlett, and WV's Capito all voted AGAINST the bill, as did the majority of Republican Representatives. The president has promised he'd veto the bill if it got to his desk, and previously, in the Senate the bill got 56 votes, 4 short of the 60 needed to end a promised Republican filibuster.

So the next time you hear someone talking about supporting the troops, just remember which party is actually trying to support them and which party is actively working against the troops!

The Democrats see our troops as human beings with needs. The Republicans see them as a commodity to be used up.
