Power Boy
Power Boy first appeared in Superboy And The Legion Of Super Heroes #240 in June 1978. Jedediah Rikane was born in the 30th Century. He's a mutant who has the ability to alter his body's mass and density. This gives him super strength, heightened invulnerability and purple skin. He joined the Legion Academy to learn to use his powers better and try out for the Legion itself. When he finally got to tryout, he was rejected. He remained at the Academy for a while, starting a romantic relationship with fellow Academy member Gravity Kid. They both eventually left the Academy together, to pursue their lives together.
