Well, kiddies, it's time to wrap up 2006, and move along into 2007. I hope every has a fun and safe New Years Celebration, wherever you may be celebrating it, Boston (Persian), Montreal (Tornwordo), Atlanta (Ryan & Mikey), Niagara Falls (Moons), NYC (Becca), at home (Doug), Canada (Exile) downtown in your hometown (Freddie) or wherever.
To all my regular readers, to the occasional reader, and to the first time visitor (please come back again) I wish you all the best for 2007!

Social conservatism is a mutant strain unhindered by critical thought. These are the nominal Christians whose Bibles are so long on judgement yet so short on compassion, the soldiers of the New American Theocracy who want to force creation "science" on the schools and deportation of the Muslims. They are the super patriots who regard criticism as treason. They are the blind guides who see tens of thousands bying in Iraq, and think the defining issue of the election is what gay men do in bed. They give God a bad name. - Leonard Pitts, Nov 9, 2004

That I would be good even if I got the thumbs down...
So, once again, at the end of this year, I've gone back and reflected over the past year to come up with the good things and bad things that happened this year to, about, and around me. And we'll have a few photos to help illustrate how i feel about each thing.
Meeting Freddie in person, finally, and getting to spend many great weekends with him.
All the fun, shopping, eating, sightseeing and sex of the Toronto trip in October.
The breaking of my tooth while in Toronto.
Getting a cable modem, finally! However that allowed...
My computer to catch a virus and die, taking all my photos and stuff with it. But...
My new computer is faster, my printer sleeker and the 19" flat panel wide screen monitor is SCHWEET!
Accidently reconfiguring my iPod, thus wiping out all 3,000 songs I had on it.
The death of my co-worker at Thanksgiving after only being diagnosed with cancer in early October.
Going to two weddings in September, and getting to take Freddie to both!
Giving up on writing my weekly letter to my friend this year, after having done so since 1995.
Meeting my buddy Manny, online and then in person.
My three way with Freddie and the other 19 year old!
Catching the third case of crabs in my life. (Totally unrelated to the two statements immediately above this one!) (Ironically enough, the first time was my freshman year of college, the Fall of 1986; the second time was right after I moved into my apartment, the Fall of 1996; and the third time was the Fall of 2006. Watch out Fall of 2016!)
Not getting the $7,000 a year raise at work.
Democrats retake BOTH houses of Congress after a 12 year shut out!
Thus, goodbye Speaker Hastert, and hell-LO Speaker Pelosi!
The Iraq war, senseless in and of itself, but seneselessly still dragging on.
Trips to the local zoos with Freddie.
Going to DC Pride with Ag, and taking Troy and Garver with us!
I didn't win the lottery. (Course, I didn't actually really play the lottery at all this year, but I still didn't win!)
My first trip ever to Philadelphia in August, and seeing where Johnnie goes to school and lives.
Superman: Returns exceeded my expectations.
X-Men 3: the Last Stand was a HUGE disappointment
Heroes on NBC is a fantastic surprise show, and how superheroes should be done.
Project:Runway Season 3 was the best season yet!
Turning 39, just one year away from 40. God, how did I get to be so old so fast?
The Dallas Cowboys make the playoffs for the first time in three years...
But they've played like crap in December.
The Washington Redskins suck worse than a $5 crack whore.
With an overbite.
And braces.
*giggle, giggle, snort*
Gas prices rise to above $3.00 a gallon (although totally coincidentally they fall back closer to $2 a gallon in the two months prior to the election. Hmmm....)
Getting a new cellphone in April.
Getting a new DVD/VCR Player in April.
Pluto is no longer a planet...
But the solar system has gained about three "mini" planets.
Brokeback Mountain virtually ignored at the Oscars.
A healthy new addition to our family (Jay).
Madonna tours and doesn't perform in DC, so I don't get to see her, even though I saw the last two tours she did!
I started participating in Half-Nekked Thursdays, and met many great people in the blogosphere because of it.
It was my 20 year high school reunion. I did not attend. Not attending was NOT the thumbs down part...being out of school 20 years was the thumbs down part! Where DID the time go?
Britney: K-Fed, her baby handling skills, her 'whoo-haa'...what is she thinking? Can't she just retire to the trailer park/white trash life she's destined to lead and get outta the public eye? Please?
New Jersey recognizes civil unions to gays and lesbians, joining Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, and California in some sort of recognition of thier relationships.
Still no retiremenets from several people at work that NEED to retire!
Reconnecting with my friend AJ.
Keeping the Palace up and running and keeping up with all my friends I've met online!
I hope everyone out there, despite the ups and downs of the year, had a good one, and may 2007 be even better for us all!

It is galling to see Jesus reduced to a GOP shill, wrapped in a flag and used as a prop to advance a conservative agenda. Which, by the way, stands the Bible on it's head. - Leonard Pitts, Nov 11, 2004
I'm a winner, I'm a sinner...
So, Saddam was killed today.
okay, will someone please now call Bushie at Crawford and let him know. And tell him he won. Let him know he's the "bigger man" cause he's still alive and Saddam is dead. Course when you use the might and power of the world's lone superpower to invade a third world country that's been under UN sanctions for a dozen years, it's kinda hard NOT to get thier leader and put him on trial.
Nonetheless, now that bushie's "won" maybe he'll call off the whole war and bring the boys home. This stupid game of his had gone on long enough.
