Look, it isn't such a big deal. Here's the thing though, you have use a Google ID to sign up for the new Blooger Beta. A Google ID is a gmail address and as far as I know, isn't it still invite only? I dunno, that's how I got my account.
I've been on the new Beta for a few weeks now and like the features.
