Higher than all the birds in the sky (Part 4)...

Freddie's Bird Adventures!
Well, today, Freddie went back to his internship at the bird Sanctuary. Apparently it went better than previous times, with one exception. When he went in the cage to feed the emus, one emu ran out while the gate was open. This was, as he said, "Not good." The only upside is that the emus are housed inside a cage that's inside the deer/ostrich cage. So even though the emu got out of the...emu cage, it didn't get out of ALL cages, into the public, as it were.

Well, Freddie went ahead and put the food down for the other emus, and they attacked that. And while they were feeding, they were unconcerned with the open gate or escaping. Freddie stood at the gate and rattled a bucket or something with food in and drew the wayward and hungry emu back into the cage. And all was right with the world.

I wondered, but did not ask, what would have had to happen if the emu did not come back in on it's own. Or what if one of the deer or that ostrich decided to investigate the rattling bucket and managed to get into the emu cage. Are emus, and ostriches and deer for that matter, territorial and would there have been an inter-species war?

Meh, probably not. I hope not, at least while Freddie in the midst of it all there.

Never realized feeding some stupid birds could be so dangerous.
