I'm easy, i'm easy like sunday mornin', yeah...

Sunday With Mama Polt

This past Sunday, I spent a good portion of the day with mom. I went over while she was still at church and did some laundry. On my way over I had some pretty nice scenery, as you can see below.

He was pretty cute from the front as well.

Anyways, when Mama Polt got back from church, the laundry was mostly done. She said she needed me to help her with something, so I went with her while she went out front and snow-blew the concrete.

No, really what we were doing was just moving the snow blower. She keeps it up on the deck when she might need it, but when there's no more chance of snow, she stores it in her new garage.

Which by the way, I don't think I've shown any photos of. This, behind me, is what it used to look like (I'm just emptying a fire extinguisher, not putting out a grass fire).

This is the garage area under construction. And if you look really close, you might be able to see Angel investigating the dirt/mud.

And this is Mama Polt backing into her brand new, less than a week completed, garage.

She's got room for her car, the riding lawn mower AND the snow blower. Not to mention other small incidentals she'll probably add.

This is a photo of the back of the house.

The original part of the house is the stuff in gold siding. The room on the left, with the chimney, is the living room. It was formerly a screened in porch converted to a living room in 1977. The white room above and behind the garage is a laundry/sewing/extra room they added on, using dad's existing shed as a base, in 2006. And then of course the garage in front was just completed.
Mom took me to Lowe's on two seperate trips, cause she doesn't want grass to be right up against the garage, cause she's afraid she'll hit it with the riding mower. So we had to get ten bags of stones. Then she was thinking and didn't want the stones to get into the grass where she's run over them, so we got 18 of those concrete little divider-thingees.

She paid, I was the mule, lugging the things off the racks, into the cart; out of the cart, into the trunk; out of the trunk onto the ground. I'm not really complaining, cause I don't want HER doing all that, but man, this garage is causing me to have to work...and I don't even get to use it!
