It's over, oh, it's over, baby...

It's over.

Now, Hillary and Bill can line up behind Obama, and they can both start pummeling McCain instead of pummeling Obama.

Finally.

Don't count on it. Hillary hasn't conceded yet.

She's angling for veep which would be bad juju for Obama. I've heard through a grapevine or two that his veep choice is Mark Warner.

I'm bumming for my girl, but I'll vote for Barry O. I'd be happier about voting for him if he picks Hilly C. as his running mate. We'll see. They might not work well together, but I think it's an electable ticket.

Obama should not pick Hillary. She has too much baggage and offers Obama little in return. He needs to pick a VP from a battleground state, not NY. Some basic Electoral College math says that Obama needs to carry PA and OH. Both have a Democrat Governor, if memory serves. He should pick one of them. They could at least help pick up a sorely needed state.

I totally agree Shane. I don't see the benefit Hillary brings to the ticket. NY's already going Democrat, as you say, and shes got all that baggage.

I think, as time progresses, PA will move solidly into the Democrat fold. I mean, John kerry won it last time!!! how hard can it be. :)

Ohio's gov. Strickland might be a good choice, but honestly, I don't know anything about him other than that's his job. So I don't know how well he'd do otherwise.

I've heard Gov Richardson of NM mentioned around, being Hispanic and from a swing state and all. But I don't know that two minorities on the ticket actually help anything.

I'm thinking of former VA gov Mark Warner, or even IND Sen Evan Bayh. Both are swing states that the Dems could pick off this time. Again, though, I don't know too much else about those guys.

If you're reading this comment, what's your idea for McCain's running mate?
