Papa don't preach...

Update on dad:

Still in the hospital. The pneumonia is gone, but he still has a very low fever, 99.1 or so. They can't figure out if it's caused by the cancer or the blood clot, so they say he'll stay in the hospital until at least Tuesday. He's on the Cumadin (sp?) drip, and before he gets released, they have to get him off that and on to the Cumadin pills, and get them regulated properly, so tuesday might be a bit overly-hopeful.

He's grumpy cause he hates just laying there doing nothing. He's had three roommates during his stay, and didn't really like any of them. Unlike one of the roommates, who was, as mom said, ' a real blister', dad doesn't give the staff any problems. My friend who works at the hospital says they all love him cause he doesn't give them any hassles, does what they tell him, and isn't obnoxious with his flirting with the nurses.

I stopped in the afternoon to see him, but he was sleeping. I know he hasn't been getting a lot of sleep, so i just left him a note on the paper I brought him, and then left. Hopefully they'll get all this under control soon, and then they can get to treating the cancer, which is why he went to the hospital in the first place last week.
