Bit-N-Pieces

Saw today that President Obama extended federal benefits to same sex partners of government employees. I commend him for that. However, it just stinks "throw a bone to them so they'll shut up" kinda mentality.

Yes, we gays are upset that not only did he choose a homophobe to give in the invocation at the Inaugural, not only has he NOT stopped Don't Ask Don't Tell discharges and doesn't look to be in any rush to do so, but he allowed the administration to argue in a legal brief before a court using all the horrible, homophobic lies about gays and lesbians (corrupting children, etc, etc).

Frankly, his record so far on gay rights has been abyssmal. And this extending of benefits is a step in the right direction, but it's a baby step, and there's miles of steps he needs yet to take.

Was at mom's over the weekend and snapped this photo of her and Angel. Apparently, they both had a very busy day prior to this.

And yeah, she'd kill me if she knew i posted it, much less took it. But she doesn't read the Palace, which is best for everyone involved, I think, so she'll never know.

A neighbor got Angel this green man thing squeaky toy. Angel has doxens of toys, and we'll tell her to 'get a toy' and she'll grab one and we play. But when she got the green one, I called him Snot from the start. And now if we tell her to "get Snot" she looks for an returns with it specifically. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

And this is Angel resting her chin on Snot. She'll frequently take her toys, lay then down, plop her body down and then rest her head on the like a pillow. It's so cute.

Tim the EMT stopped by again tonight. He was here for over two hours of slick, sticky debauchery. And when we were done, in bed, recovering, we talked, but thankfully, nothing of the wife came up this time. Just stuff about our respective jobs, and what we had just finished and inconsequentials like that. Which made it much less awkward for me. And hot insane monkey sex should NEVER be followed by awkwardness.

You can thank Stephen Rader for intruding me, and thusly you, to this little ditty.

I'm on Jamiaca Avenue, where are you?

Yeah, definitely a sign of the endtimes, that's all I'm saying.

POLT Listening to "Da Funk" by Daft Punk

No, Miss Langford, what I don't have that's required to work with you is patience. Because, quite frankly, I find you rude, lazy, horny and dumb. - Julia, Designing Women

Holy crap, I stopped listening after about 45 seconds. Unfortunately that sounds like something my teen and her friends would find hilarious. You should search the Tabouleh Song. There's one about humus too. Arrgghhh. Angel is adorable and aptly named.

Isn't it bad luck to take a picture of a sleeping person?!?
