Can't you just go somewhere on vacation...

Thought I might post a few photos from my Toronto vacation. I don't know if you guys wanna see any of them, but hey, it's MY blog, not yours, so nyah-nyah-nyah!

Anyway, I didn't take as many photos as I thought I had. ANd I'm thinking of things now that I didn't get photos of that I wish I had. but oh well, no use crying over spilt milk, right?

First we have a photo the CN Tower. I love that building cause you can see it from damn near everywhere in the city, and it always helps me get my bearings. And I took this photo cause it's the tower with a Renfrew Place street sign, and there a park where I live called Renfrew Park, so....anyway, that's why I took it. (that wasn't as interesting as I thought it would be...)

Okay, as you might have read, I went there with Poltgirl (Auntie Ag) and Ghostie, the Dead Boy Wonder. Well this is he, looking rather cheesey, I might add...
SO he and I are walking down Yonge Street, the main drag of Toronto, and he says two of the funniest things I heard up there. Firstly, he says, as we approach this sign, "Frost Bite Pizza? WHy would they name their shop that?" But as we got closer, and despite my laughter, this was the sign he saw:

So of COURSE I had to remind him of that every time we passed the sign, which was frequently. Now we walked a bit further down, like two more blocks, and this sign comes into view:

You might not be able to see it well, but it's a sign that says, "Loft 18+ Cinema" And Ghostie says, "oh, look, they must have a lot of movies playin! We should go there!" And I had to stop I was laughing so hard. Poor boy didn't realize this was a PORNO theater. I mean I knew the first time I saw it was it was....but then, well his mind is not as perverted as mine. And of course I had to remind of THAT statement everytime we went by.

Now I don't want to leave you with the impression that Ghostie is just a cheesy faced guy who can't read signs. I mean he's pretty intelligent, and reads rather well, I think. But i don't have any photos of him looking intelligent or reading well. Anyway, moving on...

okay now the next few photos are form our hotel room. Left, center, right, and then down towards Yonge street.

we were facing north so we couldn't see the tower out of our window. Which kinda sucked, but we had agood room nonetheless.

Next we have the Second Cup that's at the bottom of our hotel. I spent quite a bit of time in there with a cup of hot chocolate, and my journal, or talking with some cute guy.

So i found this street sign, which might be of some interest to Ag.

and this was I believe the Toronto Arts Building....or something....

And yes it is indeed just supported by those poles, that looks like pencils up close. Very interesting to look at from the ground, but my fear of heights would prevent me from going inside it, I'm sure.

This is Toronto City Hall, I believe. (also featured in the climatic ending scene of Resident Evil 2 movie)

And this building is right near there, not sure what it is, but it's a striking difference in architecture.

And finally, we have a Church Street institution, where we ate supper one night: Zelda's!

And this resturant really has to be experienced to be understood.

SO that's some photos from Toronto. Should I ever get the scanner hooked up (4 months and counting) i can post more from my previous trips there. but until then, this will have to do.
