Speech dishonest, eyes upon us...

So, Palin's speech...my thoughts?

She gives a great speech. She's an attractive woman, with an attractive family (especially that son Track...hunky!). The speech itself? Condescending. Insulting. Snarky. Very light on why we should trust her to fill McSame's shoes if he dies. And nothing about why we should ignore all the scandals. Very little talking about her policies or experience...but then, with what she has going on around her, and her obvious lack of experience, maybe she didn't want to talk about herself much.

As I recall, in Biden's speech, he said that McSame was was good man, a brave soldier, but his policies were wrong. What I got from Palin was mocking Obama, as if he's beneath her notice. Nothing but attacks on him as a person, as well as his policies.

I'm disappointed, but not at all surprised. I expect this of Republicans, it's one of their ubiquitous tactics. And I thought she was to be a new kind of Republican.

Okay, she's had her moment. The Republicans will have their week. And then the campaign begins. Then she has to explain to all those 'hockey moms' why they should vote for her when she wants any and all abortions outlawed, no exceptions. She has to explain to the American public why we want a woman that's been a scandal-plagued, short term governor of a state with the population a quarter the size of Brooklyn NY being just a heart beat away from the president. I don't know if all that's gonna be an easy sell.

Voting is like driving. You want to go forward, you choose D. You want to go backwards, you choose R.

It's not gonna be an easy sell. I mean come on 2 years as governor of a state does not make a vice president.
