Chapter 6, Page 1...
Welcome to June!
Monday, i got up and got to the doctor's office for my appointment. I got the results of my yearly HIV test: negative. I didn't think it would be otherwise, but until you actually hear it, you never know. And then we spent time discussing my diabetes and stuff. Lots of fun that was. And then we spent some time discussing my shoulder issues I've had for a few months. He sent me for an x-ray of the shoulder to confirm there was nothing wrong with the bones, and said that at some point later, I might have to have an MCI. And depending on what we find there, we may have to go to orthopedics or even surgery. Lovely.
Following that, I went to mom's house. There is a shed at the back of her house with a loft where dad put all kinds of stuff. And since the weather was nicer today than last week, we had decided to clear it out today. Oh my God, all the junk! Dad loved sales and auctions. He had bought all kinds of...well junk and stored it there. There were four 8 packs of empty Pepsi glass bottles! I remember growing up, that's all they came in. But in the 80's, they started selling Pepsi in exclusively plastic. So he had a bunch of the glass bottles! There were multiple garden tools (hoes, trowels, pitchforks, shovels, etc, etc, etc). There was even the OLD mailbox that used to be on the front porch, but hasn't been there for almost 20 years!
Anyway, after getting all that shit down so mom could sort through it (keep, sell, recycle, trash), I left and went to KFC to get lunch (yeah, real healthy, I know, I know. whatever...) I came home and ate it while watching Babylon 5. I did two loads of laundry. I took a walk (and damn, it was hot). After I cooled down, I sat on the porch and read for a bit, then watching more Babylon 5. Then I fell asleep on the couch for about a half hour nap. Had supper (soup and salad, MUCH better than KFC), read on the porch some more and watched more Babylon 5. Did so until I was ready to bed.
I went upstairs, changed my bedsheets, took a shower, and settled in to read and then to sleep.
