Chapter 6, Page 7...
So Sunday morning, for some inexplicable reason I woke up about 7:10am. I went to the bathroom, got back to bed, and KNEW I wasn't going to go back to sleep. So I put some clothes one and went out and de-weeded the front garden. Not too bad, there's weren't that many. Until I looked UNDER the tree/bush I have planted there. OHMIGOD! The thistles under there were like almost a yard high! Well, at least one of them. But others there were certainly over a foot! Insane!
I got them all out, though, came back inside, and then headed to Rutters for breakfast. Brought it back here, ate it while reading the paper. And I had all this finished before 8AM! I don't know what the hell is wrong with me, getting up and doing all that so early on my day off!
After this, I read I some and putzed around online, and then showered and waited for mom to come pick me up. We went to Bonanza in the Chambersburg Mall for lunch, getting there about 11;20 or so. I was good, having a salad for my first trip to the buffet and then some hot food (taters, chicken, stuffing, green beans, etc) for the main meal. And for dessert, I skipped all the ready good tasting but bad for me stuff, and just had strawberries and watermelon.
When we were done, mom wanted to go to JCPenney's, cause that location is closing in July. She just wanted to see what they had for sale. It was quite empty, actually, but she bought nothing. *I* however, found two shirts and some bath towels and handcloths, all at 50% off. So it's all good.
She pulled a Mama Polt, though, when she needed to use the bathroom. She came back to me laughing. It seems she threw open the door to the bathroom and was ready to go into the stall when she noticed the urinal on the wall. Yep, she had walked right into the men's room. AGAIN! This is the third time I can remember that happening, although I'm sure it's happened more. We both laughed so hard. I suppose I'll have to escort her to the bathroom from now on.
After this, we left the mall and went to Wal-mart, where, again, she bought nothing (well a package of bandaids, actually) and I bought over $30 worth of stuff. Including a set of purple bedsheets. Although they didn't have any extra purple pillowcases. So off to Ollie's we went.
At Ollies, I checked out the book section (like I always do first!), but surprisingly, didn't find anything I wanted to buy. But I did find some extra pillowcases. (I've got 8 pillows on my bed, and only two came with the set).
Following Ollies, we stopped by Sheetz for a fountain drink, and then to the Dollar Store for a specific item. And then home.
Once we got here, she sat and we talked for a short while, until she left. I was on the computer. I read some out on the front porch. I read some laying on the couch. I took a nap. I read some more. I made supper and ate it. I read some more on the porch. I came inside and turned the TV on for a very short while.
Eventually, I went to bed to read some and then to sleep. Slept with the window open, it was such a nice night. Monday night probably wont' be: they're calling for thunderstorms. So the windows wont be open. The rain will keep them closed and the humidity will have the a/c on.
