Requiem, when the meaningful words...

Just finished watching the lastest The West Wing wherein, Leo's funeral was held. A nicely done episode. Lots of cameos: Mallory, his daughter; the three Bartlett daughters (which might be the first time they've all been seen together); Nancy McNalley; Angsley Hayes; Amy, Josh's foil; Ex VP John Hoynes; current VP Bob Russell. Two were noticable by thier absence: Mandy, from the first season and Sam Seaborn. The series wrote Mandy out after the first season and they act like she's never even existed. And Sam, I wondered if maybe Rob Lowe had issues with the show to not come back for the funeral. But then, in the previews, he's back next week, so we'll see how that works out.

A fitting episode, I thought, to honor Leo, and John Spencer who played him. Lots of characters sitting around remembering him. Nicely done.

Even though the show has been a shadow of itself lately, I am getting sad it's ending. I love politics and was glad to see a show doing it right. And it was refreshing to see a President that I would support and vote for...if only for one hour a week, and even if he IS fictional. hell, Bushie's not much more than fictional as a president either, but at least Bartlet could string a couple words together into a coherent sentence.

Protons have mass? I didn't even know they were Catholic.
