Hidden behind the idols you adore (week 4)...

Country music night on American Idol! Oh dear God no! I hate country music.

Taylor: Take HIM home country roads, please! He was flat and nasally, and just no good. His performance was, I think, the worst of the night.
Mandisa: She needs much better fashion advice, that's top she was wearing was HIDeous and made her look fatter than she is. Her rendition was very restrained and not very well executed.
Elliott: He oversang it. he didn't look comfortable, he tried too hard. Didn't like it.
Paris:Not a good performance tonight. She still had good stage presence but she did not look like she was having fun, and that was reflected in her vocal performance.
Ace: Looks hot in black. Soulful eyes caressing the camera, felt like he was singing directly to me, gave me goosebumps it did. I don't like his falsettos though. Oh and they showed his twin like three times! Boring, Randy? Only for the straight guys. I want to have his babies!
Kelly: Could she show anymore cleavage? "Salmon, there's an L in it!" Oh Puh-Leez! Honey, whether it's an act, or it's actually how you are, you SERIOUSLY need to tone the whole bubble headed blonde thing down several notches. Her singing? There were times whent he music was louder and overpowered her. Considering it was country music, which is what she's got in her veins, her performance SHOULD have been a lot better.
Chris: Waaaay out of his comfort zone, but he did well. Showed he does have some diversity. Depite being a country song, he was the best of the evening.
Katharine: well, she did look like she was enjoying herself. BUt either she was singing softly enough for the music to override her, or she was screeching, very little middle ground. Unusual song, unusual rendition of it. Didn't like either.
Bucky: Loved the song! I've heard it before, a rock version of it, but I can't remember who did it. Contrary to what Paula said, he needs to lose the hat and let those hot locks flow! Like Kelly, he should have outshown everyone else since it was country music. While his performance was good, it wasn't outstanding. And will good be enough to save him?

Tomorrow night, Kenny Rogers sings, Taylor or Elliott get the boot, and maybe Paula gets booed again!

POLT = listening to "She's Got You" by Patsy Cline (about the only country singer i like)

He's a boy. He's, you know, half finished. Like a charcoal sketch. - Paul Reidinger, The City Kid
