The Republicans are apparently to fearful of Palin's forthcoming performance in the debate, they've decided to attack the moderator!
Gwen Ifill, who will be moderating, is writing a book on black politicans. This was announced in July, with excerpts published in Time Magazine in August. Yet just this week the Republicans are bringing this up, as if they just discovered it. The fact she's writing the book was announced on July 23. both campaigns, McCain's included, agreed to the debates and the moderators, Ifill included, on August 7....two weeks AFTER the announcement.
This is so sad. It's comical, but sad as well. They're trying to say Palin's not going to do well in the debate because of the 'conflict of interest' of the moderator.
The term "grasping at straws" comes easily to mind.
I would, however, say that the expecatation for Palin are so low, if she can string three words together into a somewhat coherent sentence, it'll be a win for her.
