Okay, so these are kinda late, but whatever. These are some of the photos I took during Memorial Day.
This is a little guy in front of me waiting for the parade to begin. A redheaded Superman fan....it's like it's my own personal Mini-Me!
My newly 4 year old cousin Cam with his pappy. Cam's the one making the face.
Balloons!!! (I hate 'em myself, but the kids sure loved 'em)
Mom combing Angel and making sure she's all prettified before the guests arrived.
Cam playing in mom's fountain.
Cam riding mom's mower. Driving sounds not included with the photo, but trust me, he was making them.
Most of the family...
Some of the rest of the family.
Mom and I cam up with this idea: we had the kids lay on the sidewalk and then we drew lines around them. Then we let them decorate the drawings with sidewalk chalk.
Even Aunt Bev (aka Mama Polt) got into the act, drawing Javey when he didn't want to lay down on the sidewalk.
I walked some of the kids down to the park so they could play on the equipment there. This is them walking back. I was the caboose so I could keep an eye on all of them at once.
Tereek grabbed my camera, and with some help from me, took this photo himself.
I didn't realize it at the time, but when they took this photo, they got four generations in one photo: my grandmother, my mother, me, my cousin Tereek.
Parade, hot dogs and burgers, family, a bit of a sunburn...what more could you ask for on a Memorial Day?
