Okay, people, when you hear McSame and his people tell you that Obama is going to raise their taxes, don't believe the lies. Here's a chart from the Washington Post, done by the Tax Policy Center that shows the breakdown of the tax plans.
Also, following is commentary written by the Post:
According to a new analysis by the Tax Policy Center, a joint project of the Urban Institute and the Brookings Institution, Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain are both proposing tax plans that would result in cuts for most American families. Obama's plan gives the biggest cuts to those who make the least, while McCain would give the largest cuts to the very wealthy. For the approximately 147,000 families that make up the top 0.1 percent of the income scale, the difference between the two plans is stark. While McCain offers a $269,364 tax cut, Obama would raise their taxes, on average, by $701,885 - a difference of nearly $1 million.
So, the bottom line, to me, is this: McSame wants to give the largest tax breaks to the richest 1% of Americans and give almost none to the lowest 60% of American wage earners. Obama's, on the other hand, would increase taxes on the richest 1% and give tax breaks to the lowest 60% of wage earners. In MY tax bracket, under Obama, I'd pay 3X's LESS in taxes than I would under McCains.
I suppose, if you're the richest of the rich, then I guess you should be afraid of Obama and his tax plan. But if you make less than $111,000 a year, it's against your financial interest to vote for McSame.
Of course, if people care more about Obama being "arrogant" and "elitest", or about flag lapel pins, or the candidates preachers than they do about their own taxes, then things could be bad. But if people care more about those irrelevant issues than they do about their own taxes, then they deserve what they're gonna get.
