You can play, repeating as if it matters...

During all my travels yesterday to the medical center and afterwards, I listened to the right wingnuts on talkradio. I heard Glenn "Mr. Snarky" Beck, Rush "Pill-Popping" Limbaugh and Laura "Screeching Harpy" Ingraham, and it was clear to see they had all been given and read thier talking points from the Republican National Party for the day.

Amazing, isn't it, to hear the exact same word usage in the exact same analogy in three seperate radio shows. They were all stomping all over Obama for his appearance at the Saddleback Church gig. More specifically, over his answer to abortion. Which, what I heard of it, consisted of saying he doesn't like abortion, but he doesn't feel he can tell a woman she's not allowed to have one, and he'd like to try to make fewer abortions. Also, he stated he doesn't know when life begins.

Well, all three of these shows were all over him for that. The quote, and unfortunately, I didn't write it down, but it went like this: If you see a paperback on the side of the road, and its moving, and you don't know if something's alive inside, you don't run over it with your car!

It's a stupid analogy too, but beyond that, and it just proves once more that the right wingnuts and their sheep-people followers, don't want to, or can't, think in complex thoughts. Abortion is a complex issue, but in their mind anything other than "No Abortions, None Of The Time" is beyond their abilities to comprehend.

Still, all that's not really the point of this post. It's to point out how all these wingnuts basically repeat the same thing over and over and over all day long, saying the same talking points about the same non-issues. But thankfully, the people who can think for themselves, and reason things out without being told how to by someone on the radio, really don't listen to these morons anyway. They're preaching to the choir....a nanrrow-minded, easily manipulated, don't-think-for-themselves choir, but still....

I drive a delivery truck, and listen to as much wingnut radio as i can stomach.
The other day I heard a commercial, probably for bose headphones. (There is a handful of advertisers that are on all these shows) The voice was Laura Ingraham (Bless her heart). She said " There is a lot of unwanted noise today" . I howled in laughter and turned it off.

I had so many problems with them stumping in a church that I was almost blinded to anything they may have said. I guess photo-ops at Sunday Services are no longer good enough.

I was disappointed but not surprised at the answers they both gave to the "when does life begin" question. John McCain was eye-rollingly on script and full of "sincerity" and Barack Obama dropped a head-scratcher that I have yet to figure out. Above his pay grade? Maybe he was saying that was for The God to decide?

Of course no news outlets played what he said after that, so it's nice to see from your post that he did at least express his support for a woman's choice in the matter.

That analogy is insane! You'd think their audience would be insulted.
