Undress me, will I look like a fool (Part 129)...

Once more, it's time for...

Several years ago, on a Saturday, I wore a pair of jeans to work. One of the desks in another office had it's side drawer broken, and badly taped together. but there was a metal edge that stuck out anyway. I was sitting at the desk, and when I got up, I dragged my leg across it and ripped a small tear in my jeans. I was just thankful I wasn't any closer to the drawer and ripped into my skin.

At any rate, the jeans could no longer be worn to work, obviously. So i started just wearing them around the house and to run errands and that sort of thing. And over time, the tear turned into a hole, which has grown larger and larger, as you can see below.

I think it's just about time to bite the bullet and make them into a pair of shorts. Maybe I'll wait until Spring though, still might wanna wear the legs over the winter. Course, with a hole that size, the cold's just go right in and....chill the boys.

In this job, you've got a lot on your plate on a regular basis; you don't have much time to sit around and wander, lonely, in the Oval Office, kind of asking different portraits, 'How do you think my standing will be?' ". - George W. Bush

I *hate* losing a good pair of jeans to a rip. At least you can still get some use from them after you amputate the legs.

I always keep them around for yardwork and such when they do that. But what really kills me is when I step into the rip and rip it more! Always feel like such a klutz when I do that.

You could always get one of those iron-on patches my mom used back in the 70s :)

I'm a torn up & hole-y jean fan. The more worn they are, the more I like 'em. I say wear 'em and love 'em ; )

Happy HHNT ; )
