I'm just curious, so if you'd let me know in the comments, I'd appreciate it, but when you're reading through stuff online and you see "omg" or "LOL" how do you say it, in your mind, as you read it?
Option 1. "O-M-G" or "L-O-L"
Option 2. "Oh my God" or "Laugh Out Loud"
I mean, I know what the letters stand for, but when I read them, I actually read them like option 2. Now when I see "CIA" or NFL" I read those as "C-I-A" or "N-F-L" not Central Intelligence Agency or National Football League. But when I see the two examples above, I read them as the words, not the initials. Not sure why that is. And I'm curious to see if I'm alone in this or if I'm the norm (cause I'd SO like to be the norm with some aspect of my life).

I read them like you do. OMG is read like Oh My God. I do the same as you with CIA, FBI and IRS too....
I think I read them in my mind as the first option, believe it or not.
I'm not sure if I'm proud of that.

it's mixed for me. lol is L-O-L. omg is "oh my god."
I read LOL as a single word (ie Lol) but OMG as Oh My God.
I do the same thing you do. When it is LOL I think laugh out loud but when it is CIA I think CIA. I will also admit that I don't know all the new ones that people use.
I read OMG as Oh My God!, but read LOL as "loll" - six of one, half-dozen of the other.
I read them just like you.
