This from the Associated Press: JOHANNESBURG, South Africa - South Africa's highest court ruled Thursday it is unconstitutional to bar gay marriage, paving the way for this country to become the first in Africa to legalize homosexual unions.
South Africa joins hte Netherlands, Spain and Canada in recognizing gay marriage. South Africa, yes SOUTH AFRICA, home of aparthied, which ended not more than 15 years ago, now ends another form of discrimination. And yet, the USA, land of the...mostly free, home of the brace is on its way to legalizing discrimination by amending our wonderous Consitiution to make gay s and lesbians second class citizens, denying a basic right given to all straight Americans.
We ought to all be ashamed that we're allowing the world to pass us by on this and not be leading the way!
