It's that time of week once again: Half-Nekkid Thursday!
This is my one and only tattoo. I'd like to get another one, a Canadian maple leaf at the same place on my right shoulder, but I haven't done so yet. I got this not because I think I'm Superman (although I DO think I'm super, man!), but because of my love of comic books. When i think of comics, I think of the Superman S, so that's what I got tattooed. Representing my love of comics.

When I was in college I was gonna get a Superman S tattoo, because my name is Susie, and my bfs name was Steve, and I liked comic books too....but I didn't and now my bfs name is Gary so its a good thing, huh!?

Nic pic...and nice tat! I have two now, the one you see in my profile and one which is yet to be photographed. I've already told hubby we have to rectify that so maybe by next week I'll have something to post over on my little blog! ;o)
Hubby is a HUGE comic fan, btw...guess where he and I will be spending this weekend? I'll give ya a hint...there's a big convention in T.O. this weekend and there *might* be people dressed as their favourite superhero there... ;o)
His favourite artist, George Perez, will be in attendance so we will be lining up to get his signature and a sketch, if we're lucky!

Seriously, thank you all, notonly for stopping by, but taking the time to comment. Instead of replying to each individually, allow me to comment on...um, themes of your comments, kay?
Firstly, thanks to all.
Secondly, any of those who mentioned collecting Superman or any other comic, you outta try to see if you can find them. I bet, if they're in relatively decent condition, and somewhat old (say over 20 yrs or so, maybe) you could probably get some money for them, either at your local comic book store, or more likely on eBay.
Thirdly, if you've got a tatto, you outta show it on HNT! The more unmentionable the location, the better!
Fourthly, for those mentioning they have problems with the Palace loading, I've got so much brick-a-brack on my sidebar and stuff, it takes ME an extre 5-10-15 minutes long to load the page. If you try to load it, and it doesn't come on right away, just give it a little time, I pormise it'll pop up !

My comics are more recent; say, the last 11 years or so...I'm a rather young one...and I'm not parting with them, I enjoy them too much! :P

Kitten: May I suggest a velvet throw, then? And, I'd never part with my collection either (been collecting since 1977. I probably have comics I bought off the stand that are older than you!)

LoCutus: I have that too...although I only bought one and HAD to open it to read it.
epicurist: I want the Maple Leaf cause I love Toronto. It feels like a second home to me. And when I think of Toronto, I think of the leaf.
